Oh I think they're quite rare. That's the only system I've ever found (that I made a note of, anyway). Now I'm always on the hunt for the sixer :)

Quite happy that I found this gem tonight on my way to WP 6. You might want to have a jump over if you are near Ocularis Coelum!

System Mylaifa MX-U e2-2445
8 stars arranged in one B-class (Blue-White) star system
Proposed name: Octobers Fall

Located only a few lightyears from Ocularis Coelum, this system is so huge on the system map, that you cannot screenshot all of the 8 stars with a full HD screen. Another 2 gas giants are present in the system, whereas the class V Giant orbits a triplet of stars at a quick rate of 0.4 days, which again makes the movement visible to the naked eye and makes up for beautiful vistas. On a side note I think the arrangement of the 2 binary star-systems and the triplet of stars orbiting the main star is worth a mention.

Note: According to EDSM (https://www.edsm.net/en/statistics/bodies) the current star count record for known B-Class Star systems seems to be 7.

Fly safe!

Probably?
I've not heard of more. But I'll see what others say.

Every time I think I found a record, I'm proven woefully naive ;)

(example: I found a terrestrial planet with millions of atmospheres of pressure on the surface... MILLIONS. Not even close to a record ;) )

You're not alone. I also have no idea what's worthy. But it's great to be able to see the posts and excellent feedback here.

Totally agree. Well it's still worth trying to find these things. 5 water worlds seems to be the limit so far. Any advance on 5 :) the search is on.

A Disturbing Pattern in the Universe: Galactic Void Cube Discovered?

First off, apologies if this has been pointed out before. This is my first forum post and I'm unable to find mention of it elsewhere.

It came to my attention while charting course in the Inner Scutum-Centaurus Arm. As I was fiddling with different star types I noticed a disturbing pattern that seems to be present in our galaxy that, to my knowledge, should not exist. Looking from the top down, you can clearly see the outlines of an almost perfectly square pattern when filtering for L-type stars. Within this square there seems to be a distinctive drop-off in the number of L-type stars within that square.

I thought this to be a weird one-off phenomena until I panned around and saw that this pattern repeats in a near-checkerboard pattern throughout the region. Squares everywhere. From everything I know about the formation of the galaxy this shouldn't happen. It also seems to only occur on a specific level of the galactic Y-axis.

Have other commanders noticed this before? Is there something wrong with the fundamental nature of our universe? Are strange forces at play that we haven't previously detected? Are we living in a Thargoid simulation world while they harvest our bodies for energy? What is the meaning of this? Have I been in the black too long?

I would appreciate any information other commanders can gather. Is this in all regions? Galaxy wide? Is this old news?

I shall await your replies in a state of existential crisis.

This system was a real jolt last night. I've gotten used to occasionally jumping into a system right through one of the stars, if there's a close binary. Usually they're glancing blows, but this one put me right squarely through the center of the A-class star. It's been a long time since one of these has made me nearly jump out of my seat. :)

The primary is a Neutron Star, with an A-class in close binary. Another pair of stars are further away, but all of the planets orbit all four of them.

I jumped back to it from the opposite direction, which placed me directly in the ejection cones! I received the "Fuel scooping disengaged" message while supercharging the FSD too. So this system can surprise you, both coming and going, regardless of your approach angle.

The moons are actually fairly scenic too. I only landed on the first of them, orbiting a Class-IV gas giant. It has some minor volcanism, but a nice "charred" appearance in places, as seen from high above.

Probably not worth of a GMP POI, but to me this is a great example of a system that really makes me smile, just because.

I found what I thought was the Phantom Zone (or a galactic glitch) in the EEPHAIM XB-S D5-3513 sector.

I think we are seeing increasing instances of artefacts related to how the Stellar Forge works and populates cubes of space, maybe because we’re getting towards the galactic centre. Last leg I found a “bow tie” effect of bright stars & posted a photo. Also seen what seemed to be a cube of bright stars. Yesterday I found an “arrow head” of stars.

Earth Like world with Pristine Rings - Numerous hot spots

System: OGAIWS XO-Y D1-3853
Body: 4

I have never encountered an earthlike world with rings before, and this was my final jump last night. I took several shots, but the one included here was the best shot.

I will also submit this into the spreadsheet when I log in later today to make sure I have all of the details correct.

Earth like world

System: DRYAO AOSCS XL-B D14-4789
Body: 6

Not as impressive as the ELW with rings, but still a nice find as I travel towards Waypoint 6

I've definitely seen examples of this. Will dig out some screenshots next I get chance.
