Just had a go with the new modules...

You know what would be cool?

Full-on supercruise autopilot. I mean, it's even realistic. If the technology were available, why would a pilot want to control every second of boring straight-line flight?

But I don't care much about realism. It would just be nice to flick on autopilot for a 200k Ls cruise and go do my laundry. Sure, I'm taking a risk if something engages me en route, but that's part of the point. It's taking a risk for a little convenience.

Also it would be neat if the auto-pilot had a "scenic route" mode that just flies you all around the system lol
Exactly L, it would actually be more realistic for a system designed for use in an environment with planets in the way to adjust course to avoid obstacles. Its still not afk because as you say, it opens the risk to being attacked if you leave.

As is binding a key to 75% throttle? Why waste the time on a feature that is already in game and then defend the devs for wasting time adding it.

Nothing to do with your mental state, although I am worried about you lack of ability to understand something so simple. 75% throttle manages your speed, what we didn't have was a course hold function (The ship will adjust course to track your target) now we do. At no point was there ever a suggestion that the ships guidance from A-B would be fully automated.

Also good job jumping straight to insults, its a pretty awful thing to do to assume that something is wrong with me for disagreeing with you on a game. You have no idea what problems people have in real life so jumping straight to insulting their mental state is a genuinely cruel thing to do I wouldn't even expect to see on 4chan nevermind a forum like this.
I believe the idea was not to provide a solution for people being bored with supercruise but helping newcomers who don't understand how to bind a key for 75% throttle.

How does an insult revolving around my mental ability to process things not attack my mental state? Do you enjoy implying that strangers on the internet are stupid or deranged because they disagree with you? What a cruel and vindictive thing to spend your evenings doing. In addition to my sorrow about your coldhearted ways I am also sorry to hear that you never figured out how to aim your ship in supercruise, perhaps this frustration is what has caused you to lash out at me for merely pointing out a redundant feature. If that is truly the case the harshness of your blows against me has been softened and I hope that this redundant feature will help prevent you from attacking your fellow forumgoers in the future.

I have no idea, am starting to suspect you are very sensitive though. Unfortunately I can't give you a hug over the internet.
Don't worry my supercruise and understanding deficient friend, one day you will figure out both what "whats wrong with you" implies and how to aim your ship in supercruise. I hope that this day comes soon as your malevolent crusades against those of us who do understand supercruise and how English works will no doubt wreak further havoc!

If Supercruise weren't so boring at times I wouldn't want to "skip" it so badly. But as is, being able to write or read or do whatever else while the game pilots through the parts I mostly dislike seems like "the best of a bad situation".

Kind of weird how it can slow you to orbit if you target a planet but not if one just happens to be in the way. It's not as if it doesn't see the planet in your way because it tells you to slow down.

...
when SCA drops u at a station, it will also crash you into the station if you're not there to throttle down... don't know if this is intended, but a zero throttle after drop option should be available to truly immersify my laziness!!!
ADA works without hitches coming & going!!! (haven't died yet)

Noticed that during the demo stream, but hoped it would get corrected in the live patch.
