With respect to the metrics of the game, if Frontier included a "Vote Up+1" or "Vote Down-1" next to the "Like+1" button on all threads and displayed a "Polls Page", You would then have metrics on "who is doing what, when, where and how". I feel this type of presentation by Frontier would allow anyone commenting on any thread, feature or aspect of the game to provide some proof in the way of a metric, to the aduience for whom they are speaking. So, I would say something in a thread, and then say, well look a the current polls or metrics, that's not what is shown, to further any point I make. Just a thought, but as we all know too well, Frontier is not that pro-active when it comes to forum comments or user suggestions.

So for sure, they know how many players are exploring
and who's going to be quite disappointed when FSS goes.
It's not a bug and should not be falsely represented as one. I would not take part in that kind of deception.Issue Tracker now allows for bugs to be voted up or down with comments that can be included.
The only thing I can think of to bring the matter to FDev's direct attention is to file a bug against the FSS (if it has any) and for everyone concerned to "Vote it down or up" on the "Issue Tracker", while making your case for the FSS/ADS in comments. It seems to be an "Issue" for alot of players. Massive pages of text here in this thread, for or against one or the other, with many good points of view and good suggestions does not lead to a very clear consenses either way.
I wish the forum allowed for polls like the old forum did, but unless these concerns, like or dislike, are brought to Frontier's direct attention in a more meaningful way, no meaningful resolution can be possible. The only other suggestion I can think of, are two threads in "suggestions", one labeled "I like FSS, Not ADS" and one labeled "I like ADS, Not FSS" with all the reasons why for each and then see how many folks chime in to either with their points of view.
I wish Frontier/Fdev would include a "Features Poll" somewhere on this forum, which would allow all of us to "vote up" or "vote down" a pending or included feature of Elite, but that will never happen.
EDIT: My suggestion to Frontier/FDev for a "Features Poll" could be as simple as adding a "Vote Up" or "Vote Down" button right next to the "Like+1" button in all threads. The forum could then include a "Polls Page" which lists the current bar graph for all thread votes on any and all "Features" of Elite. This, as Frontier states, would let us all play "our way" provided Frontier implements the vote as game "roll-in's" or "roll-out's" in each update. It makes the game dynamic in the sense that we see the features both players and backers want to see in the game.

We all know that DWE2 sign up was over 9000. If thats the measure of how many are exploring we have no chance.
That's likely why they don't get involved in responding to these issues, they wait and see what they are going to do based upon what players actually do.
Well then it was appropriate to give us a couple of lines saying so. I dont understand why its so difficult to just let people know that they have heard the complaint. What purprose can it possibly serve to stay silent other than to annoy and alienate people? This is the company that was awarded for community management? Difficult to beleive.
For that reason, I personally think these threads are useful, as a knee jerk reaction might have been to simply populate the system map with the FSS honk, and that IMHO would be a detrimental step as it would have negatively impacted those who so dislike the system map reveal.
I hope you are not being serious with that as it makes no logical sense.Honestly, my impression of the main reason for people insisting on mutual-exclusivity is that it comes from a (probably subconscious) desire to punish people for not liking what they like.
The one thing I wouldn't want is for the Map to be plonked back without thought for the players than enjoy the build and discover that the FSS allows, that's why a choice for a purchasable fitting is the best way in my view.Assuming those people arnt just arguing for the sake of it, or worse trying to prevent anything from being done to fix this. Would it really affect anybodys game if the system map was revealed? I dont believe so and there would always be the option of simply not looking at it. You dont remove features from one groups game to please another.

Player 1 says: I want the ADS backWhich part of it? I don't think it's really feasible to deny that kind of thinking occurs, is it?
Player 1 says: I want the ADS back
Player 2 says: Okay I understand your pain, how about having the ADS but it doesn't work with the FSS.
Player 1 says: How dare you pumish me by giving me what I want back.
Player 2 backs away as player 1 is obviously insane.
...it's how you get sympathyAnd you complain incessantly that people are being rude and nasty to you on the forums...
What has that got to do with anything. I am not calling anyone insane. I have not named anyone. If you think I am talking about you, you need to ask yourself why, not complain about me.And you complain incessantly that people are being rude and nasty to you on the forums...
Well it's pretty simple to comprehend.I...
