That's not what I said.

What I said that after a year of release that Frontier hadn't delivered on several of its Kickstarter rewards, and the same people who are here as usual declaring 'DOOM! SCAM!' Regarding star citizen/Sq42 (as yet unreleased games) not delivering on promised rewards were telling everyone (with the usual feverence we see with the 62nd Braben's Own White Knight Regiment of Horse) to stop whining as the promises would eventually be delivered.

I really dont get what you are saying

People who complain about SC not delivering on the KS rewards were the same people who also complained about the ED KS reward not being delivered.
How is that being part of the 62nd Braben's Own White Knight Regiment of Horse, just because they stopped complaining the ED KS rewards not being delivered when they finally were.

Is there some rule that one must continue to complain about the slow delivery forever?

They prey on the fear of missing out.

Reality is though, my dear Aunt, the only things missing are pretty much every development point that CI-G have ever mentioned, 99.5 systems, aliens and their unique languages, PVP sliders, mod support, a Linux release, VR integration, Idrises, two games, the single player expansion pack, green boxes, and space-ship shaped USB drives :D

the trolling is strong in this thread recently :D

I dont even know what to post because most of the stuff is just fishing for a reaction trying to rile people up #popcorn

This part exemplifies how this whole thing works...

They prey on the fear of missing out. Like if you don't buy, then that is it, you won't get one ever.

Which while it might be true for certain specific custom jobs, then ship in general should be available after launch (if its not, that's going to be rife for criticism).

Which wouldn't be effective at all on anyone who is paying attention to what is going on with the game.

The m50 is already available to buy in game for in game credits. If the Evocati stuff holds, the rest of the ships will be available in 3.6.

Ships available for in game purchase in 3.6 Evocati:

Which you have to grind for, and when they do a wipe, its gone again.

But sure, things are and will be avialable for purchase, but its the psychology of the marketing that does it. Even if they know rationally they will be able to earn it in game, there is something driving them to buy them for $$$.

Some might claim they are only doing it to support development, but take away the ships and replace with just pledge, and funding would take a nosedive.

Look at the bright side: if they're wavering around the $1000/h mark, they're already $4000 in the red for that hour so a couple of hundred more or less isn't going to make a huge difference.

I can't recall any posts directly defending SC...I certainly wouldn't.

My dear Mole, you'll notice the post in question wasn't directly attacking Star Citizen as well, which is tantamount to being a top tier backer with all the trimmings around these parts.

I'm fairly sure I'm only a few posts away from Agony Aunt offering to meet me in a car park below a wrestling event for a sword fight to determine which of the two projects is the one.

You could always go the Uwe Boll route and challenge each other to a boxing match to settle differences :) On the other hand, sovapids post is nice to see, was wondering when they start putting in game prices to the ships. I just keep sitting on my base pledge and wait for release, and see what the game turns into. At least my pledge is old enough to inlcude SQ42 I guess.

It was however another tedious broadside at the thread in general and relied on a simplistic comparison. I'm sure none of that explains the criticism you received.

You could have engaged with the details, but you've opted for cartoon exaggerations and the martyrdom schtick instead. Way to save the thread ;)

Selling a modders manual for a game that doesn’t allow modding was funny and stupid, especially when it proudly proclaims “in stock” on their website.

Having just followed Asp's game package link to https://robertsspaceindustries.com/pledge/game-packages I was just about to write something pointing out how excessively weird it is having an "in stock" flag for digital assets.

I've not had a particularly great morning (it's pretty humid here in London and I don't deal with that very well... so not much sleep for me!) and that has just about broken my brain.

Why so cranky everyone? Must be the weather. I too wonder if the throughput via the pipelines varies with the seasons, but I'm sure any cloggin' will be dealt with in due time.

Throughput isn't the issues. It's the basic pipe design.

They probably shouldn't of used a Mobius strip as inspiration....
