Iirc, I for myself, didn't usually bother to tag any body ( other than ELW etc..) when surveying the Rift.
Believe me or not, average time between two jumps in my trusty AspX was like 50s. I loved that ADS.
So what’s with the Galnet despondency from some?
Have people forgotten that Galnet is to all intents and purposes the equivalent of a state controlled media in-game?
All we were ever getting were the stories that certain parties wanted to come our way.
The real good stuff was never in Galnet in the first place!
(Well not since they had to crack down on independent journalists due to them managing to sneak things past the censors, anyway!

yep likewise. Even now- will take the effort to map ELW, WW, AW & (sometimes) terraformables out to 60kls. And 8th moons, with drop out of SC either side of the moon to look for ancient Orbis Dark Wheel stations!

We're blind optimists with a very short memory recall time. It's what keeps us looking for Raxxla & ignoring the (lack of) storyline!

I assume you don't forget to make parallax observation in low speed SC around these moons, as " low emissive " station doesn't mean " non-reflective."

All my fleet are named "Deep XXXX" since my first ship was (of course) Deep Thought.
Thinking of finishing off these BH tomorrow then popping back to Gorgon Research to rename this ship from "Fathoms Deep" (it's a deep space explorer Phantom, love it) to "Deep Fernweh", to match the mood.....
I dont really mean the rift. I mean Eafots. I think this because there are the club bases which say they have heard whispers in witch space and siren calls (exact wording on cannon, or I posted it a few pages back). So my theory is we were meant to find Raxxla during that mystery but didn't. Therefore they put that clue in the codex to point us back to this area. Dont listen to me know. I think I'm the only person on the thread who thinks its plausible.

Ah, but where lots of people go wrong with Galnet, is they treat is as a means by which they get told the story, instead of treating it as what it is - something that’s inside the story!
One only has to look at the stuff that doesn’t make it into Galnet.

I wish. Unfortunately, not really understanding what ED was, when I started, I play on PS4, not on PC, making useful and interesting experiments like that very difficult. Probably possible....upload video clips to Twitter, download to PC, maybe.
My truthful but far less impressive plan was to jump around aimlessly, listening for anomalies during jumps and mapping undiscovered planets, in to futile hope I may get a human, or unknown POI pop up.

Has anybody tested the sounds idea? Its a brilliant suggestion whether its right or not, other things have been hidden in sound as we know. Don't think it will lead anywhere but do think it needs testing just to rule it in or out.
@PeteACarter - its as plausible as any other idea, certainly as plausible as mine which I hope to god is not right, with a sneaking suspicion it might be as answers everything in a typical Elite way....well we never promised you anything so you cant blame us that its not what you thought, welcome to the real world....as per Salome message on the beacons about the Rift, they did make me laugh but Ill bet not everyone felt the same way. Problem is I don't see how Raxxla can be anything that will fulfil our dreams, so the only real possible answer is it wont be or cant be and that leaves my theory wide open to be the answer. Just like everyone elses I hope
