I think I'm gonna stop looking. If they actually did want us to find it they wouldn't be silent ASF about it entirely. There would be clues. If it is in game it's probably all glitched out and not supported by ps4 anyways. This is a sad day.

There's a line between 'want us to find it' and 'spoonfeeding the information' and I'd prefer FDev to continue to be silent, rather than give us a clue which we solve in a week. It's not like there's another mystery we can move on to.

Also, they can want us to find it, but also want us to earn it.

I agree that it's probably bugged though :D

I'm not at all inferring that they should just come out and give us hints weekly or even monthly. but there should be discoverable in game clues that you know what you found when you find it. I'm not even saying they should be easy clues, far from it. but it should be obvious what they are clues for.

we all keep going back and forth with stuff that turns out it was to do with the formadine rift or galnet fluff. We all talk about clues, then argue that there are none. It can't be both

Im starting to think this whole thing is a ploy to keep us mystery hunters fromgoing to play other games.

It's all about bums on seats...
Playing the game, buying ships and buying things for ships on the store, ofc.

Maybe FDev have learned from one or two apparent 'mistakes' as the project unfolded and they've decided to remove the means of finding Raxxla from the game, temporarily. Maybe they're being reworked to cope with the anons cracking their puzzles too quick, and broken up into annual stages?

Has anyone consulted the Oracle of Delphi? Could name changes contain clues?

Edit: Oops, replying to this:

Look, I think they talk "siren" saying "super-nova". Cefeids?
So "siren of deepest void" gets sence - some super nova from far away?
So if we speak about SN Ia ...which is standard - then it must be white dwarf + giant or another wd and close enough each other. Also it sems it should be DZ exactly. because Ia does not have hellium/hydrogen lines and have methals.

And there is single 1 candidat which fits in 250ly around "12 Virginis" (don't ask, i just logged out there :D)

This one can explode as SN Ia pereodically.

And this one less visited: https://www.edsm.net/en/system/bodies/id/49467/name/HIP+84876

Hmmm.
So the 'riddle' could be unrelated to Raxxla itself, simply a mechanism for identifying potential candidates for membership. Interesting.

If that were true, then TDW would need to have 'seeded' the toast into the rumormill, rather than it being an actual toast they use. Definitely a possibility - though equally we could be back to @PeteACarter's laughing pirates :)

Edit
Or it's a 'clue' and FDev don't care about logical consistency :D
The first two suggestions are plausible. The 3rd is highly likely, but not necessarily mutually exclusive.

I have suspended disbelief on many investigations. And yes, my hypothesis is supported with available evidence as presented.

You wrote, The thing to do is see if it gives you any predictions that you can then test?

This is exactly what I have done. I keep waiting for your rhetoric to help in any manner. I presented the evidence and hypothesis. Perhaps we could get into some philosopher quotes over private messages and spare this channel used for Raxxla related ideas and not semantic debate.

I was encouraging you to follow your own beliefs. You believe you have a workable hypothesis, with supporting evidence and it can produce predictions. I don’t share your belief, but that is immaterial. Discussion in this thread helps to point out strengths and weaknesses.
I was encouraging you to go check out those predictions for yourself. If that produces positive results then your hypothesis is strengthened, if negative it is weakened.

I do hope you change your mind fella. I enjoy this thread as much as I enjoy hunting Raxxla and its contributions from yourself, the OP, Jorki, Scytale, the Penguin, thatch, jiatu, 6, sim, han zen, yelloc and all the other regular contributors that make it what it is. Arguments and banter are part of the fun. Would be a shame to loose any dedicated hunters.

Sounds like you’re suffering second stage Raxxla madness, a medical condition widely recognised throughout the galaxy. The second stage is despair and frustration in equal measure, the first sign is looking for Raxxla (when we don’t know what it is, where it is, or how to find it, or maybe even how to recognise it when we find it). 🙂

I checked out this source, MB in livesteam:
DJtruthsayer: “Where is Raxxla”?
MBrookes: ”Well, It's in the Milky Way, but I can't tell you where at this stage, it's a journey that everyone has to travel for themselves".
DJtruthsayer: “You have always said there will be no clues”
MB: "that is true, but I think you have to make some of it a tiny little bit obvious just so that people know what they are doing, there is nothing to be revealed at this stage"

So first there would be no clues, after some time there is nothing to be revealed at this stage (but it’s a little bit obvious), then we got the codex, apparently containing clues. So no dichotomy, time progressed & it seems as if FD are now providing some clues. But as always the clues are very ambiguous, giving lots of things to investigate and talk about.

edit: burnout is common in this game. Stopped playing myself early last year for a few months. Best thing, if you're not enjoying this Quest, is to play in a different way, try some pure exploration for the data/sights, go on an expedition, kill some goids, do some bounty hunting, or whatever you fancy. Or play something else for a while if you want (if you find anything else that's good let me know! Don't fancy any of the alternatives I've seen to date, though toying with messing around with star citizen again). Then come back - we'll still be here, chasing chimera and weird hypotheses!
(unless the penguin 'fesses up & tells us where he's hidden it :sneaky:)

We did get new tools to find things with. The FSS and DSS both reveal a human object of some kind, in orbit or on planet surfaces. So, I guess keep an eye out for a signal with a missing 'dark' (TDW) station?

Maybe they'll come up with awesome II storylines where we unlock some permits?

How can you name an unknown star in the ED skybox ?
You need to select stars on the galaxy map and see if it is selected on the skybox.

Look, i have identified all stars around Shoujeman. It really does not exist on the sky in reality. The only question is if it is FD mistake or they have added it by purpose.

There are a couple small stars that could be it at an angle from Minelauva.

There is a lack of names, but why can't it be one of the unnamed stars?

I would say, take those pics and put some lines between stars that would cross over or near it. You could probably find which one it is.

Edit: You are right. It appears it doesn't exist. Does it move enough that maybe the date of the astrology tool doesn't have it in the same place? I've seen some where you can set them to future dates like 3305. That picture is set to our current time by the looks of it. Maybe fast forwards to 3305 and see if it's there.

Edit2: I think it may be the star I circled. But it may have moved over time as the game is 3305 and not 2019. The circled star is slightly up and to the left in the first picture. The star I circled also doesn't exist in the ED pic. I assume it's the culprit.

The FTS.doc is a picture of this.

I cant open your file, is it microsoft word document or smething? Could you just save it as picture? Just in case, i have updated my previous post with star map for the year 3305. Also if you saw two bright objects near the right border or the map, these were Saturn and Venus.

But probably you are right and sky in ED is different because stars are moving... It is just strange that some stars are on their modern places despite the fact they should have been moved too. Probably FDev only have moved some specific stars and havent moved the others...

Unless this is the ONLY star visible from Sol that doesn't correspond to a real-world star then I wouldn't read anything into it.

Mmhh.. Yes, of course, tapping, trial and error. I thought there was a new game feature that I didn't know about. Not playing for months..
Iirc, the skybox is like it will be at the game time. Or am I wrong ?
EDIT: oh, yes, I see you took that in count. Nicely done !
