IF it is not a mistake it is running as soon as someone appears. Doesn't wait then run, it runs straight up immediately into the warp anomaly.

Also, if you stick around, scouts do eventually appear and those are the angry type. Have not seen the scouts and this thing in the same instance at the same time.

Various. Sometimes the scouts also jumped out with it, other times they stayed. Pretty sure I saw it as orange mostly. Relogging when docked at / near Palin's base may cause different situations if you haven't tried that already. Don't think I saw the scouts care about the Interceptor, but that's normal 🤷‍♀️

I just tested it and at first I was amazed and stunned that you are right. If you type either 'image not found' OR 'imagenotfound', the 'n' and the 'o' are slap bang in the center and the alignment can be fixed so that the other letters are not visible but hte 'no' is displayed perfectly. I was just starting to chuckle, when I realised, hang on, these are capital letters. So I redid the test with capitals and it doesn't work, they are no longer in the middle. What's more, judging by the spacing in the shot, if that were the case, the left edge of the crossbar of the T of 'not', should be visible.

Good idea, but no, it definitely says 'NO' and is not part of something else. Unless it's yamato no orochi. ;)

Regarding the races of thargoids:

is there anything at all IN GAME regarding the two races of goids? I'm not the lore guy, I'm more the pew pew guy so I usually don't read much stuff in game...

It's the goids. They are putting all the humans they kidnapped in their farm ships. They probably think we wan't shoot them, when we find out. :)

Check for yourself - or I'm sure you can find examples from Malics stream last night. Bit early to be setting the lore in stone IMHO

Even in the lore it's kind of vague. No human seem to have encountered a Klaxian. The only source of their existence are the few people who claim to have communicated with Thargoids.

For all practical purposes Oresrians = Thargoids. The Klaxians could be a lie.

Wait, I thought it was the other way round? Klaxians are the ones we've seen fighting, Oresrians are the ones that make nice?

Well, a new Thargoid vessel, nice, but damm it looks like copy-paste of Cyclop...

As far as I could found on footage with THAT variant, It have no Sigh like others do.
It's Cockpit seams do be different too, it is like reinforced and its glass part makes it a bit more Human-like ship to me.
It color resembles something in between Cyclops and Hydra. But I nned to admit, that vessel have some yellow-green dots on its body... others don't have that "skin problem".



I see 3 possible explanations for it...

1) It is a basic Interceptor belongs to another faction of Thargoids. So if they would have 4 types, the strongest one will surpass Hydra eventually. May be they will have some tricks we haven't seen before...
It might explain why it don't have Sigh on it and why it have "skin problem". Another faction use other symbols or dont use them at all...
And there ships been affected by virus, so that why it have pimples.

2) It is alternative version of Basilisk. As Thargoid ships are living thing, they can grow and evolve. So There is more then one Evolution chain for basic Cyclop to go with. For example, it could be Cyclop - Basilisk - Medusa, where in the end we have strongest and oldest form.
That new ship could be in another chain with Hydra.
Cyclop - Orthrus - Hydra... so in that case it is missing evolution link.

3) (I personaly don't like it and dont believe it) This is a Hybrid Human-Thargoid ship with adapted cockpit, for Human pilots.

If it runs and does not want to be destroyed has a reinforced canopy...
Logic says this has a pilot, unlike all the other encounters we have had.
I guess it’s too fast for a closeup to see if it does indeed have a pilot

What really interests me about this new variant, is that before this, every newer variant looked more aggressive (more spikes, vivid coloration).
But his one only has a more armored cockpit, and some wider petals than the cyclops. This is just speculation though, maybe it will instagib us
or something... But for me this design looks less aggressive than the previous ones.

The "NO" could simply mean no data on this Thargoid variant in any of the Galactic databases as it doesn't appear in the Codex and the scanner is Human made.

Just another minor thought: We haven't had a client update for a (too) long time. Which means this was planned and set in place a long time ago.
