Reviewing (very) old posts, I didn't find what Raxxla is but MB said what it is/was not. (Nov 2014)

'What is the founder's world name?'
'Founder's World'
'I'm a tiny little bit disappointed they didn't call it Raxxla :D '
'Raxxla is something different ' (< MB)

Are we going to keep looking for a planet ?

There is just a DW's report of what DB told him (July 2014). I can't imagine that it's a lie. Can you ?

What I am not so sure about, is this statement from another "witness" of that famous BAFTA...
'He ended up talking with Drew and a group of others in the bar afterwards. My hearing is awful at the moment so I sat out, but Drew told me a few little details after - in particular a little teaser about the location of Raaxla...'
(Note the very convenient typo :giggle:)
I dont think it's a lie. Everything I have seen/heard of Drew implies that he is a genuinely nice guy.
I have clearly mixed up my myths with my legends and redact me previous post. Sorry @Jorki Rasalas !

Was just wondering, if the mother of galaxies (plural) has a mythological meaning, when I looked up 'Galaxy' on the web and found a lot of links to products from a certain Korean company.
Now Samsung apparently is Korean and means "tristar" - according to wikipedia...

Thought 'why not'? In the 34th century, 21st century history might have been considered to be myths for a certain part at least...

Do whatever you want with that piece of information.

"...why people haven't been able to find it..."
Now, maybe the Very Old Guard can remember to what extent the MW was explored back on July 2014... Was the beta/gamma, wasn't it ?
Edastro
only shows from may 2015, and has the explored systems counting reset to zero, I think.
That should narrow the possible location to the very inside of the Bubble.

No problem mate! It’s very easy to get confused with all this,
But I can blame my age! 😁

Edit: check eddb/commodities for where and how much to buy MA

Mmm, no, I don’t think it’s a planet. At least not a planet we can land on to reach “an alien gateway to other universes” since Horizons wasn’t released until after the gamma when Raxxla was inserted.
So I’m looking for a derelict anaconda, or a space station (possibly TDW one), or something else, named “Raxxla”.

Whatever it is I hope they have a seriously good lavian brandy, aged for a couple hundred years, to justify the search!
After topping the hedges, mowing the lawn and power raking half the lawn this afternoon I’m ready for one now! The dog walk will have to wait until I’ve cooled down!

Disclaimer: Not familiar with Plato & the Spindle. I am also an agnostic & maybe absurdist but the idea of predestination still rankles somewhat.
Ya, I hear you - I guess ive always got a kick out of philosophies though.

I picked up a book about Hekate and the Chaldean Oracles.
This bit talks about the Cosmic Soul:
"The fact that Timaeus situated in the Soul the basic mathematical and musical proportions, by means of which the Cosmos was ordered and organized, led to the theory that the Soul itself was composed of Number, or of all numbers. This theory was encouraged by (and in turn gave credence to) the Platonic equation of the Ideas or Form with mathematical entities. It was related, too, to the belief that Soul recived the Ideas and then cast them unto chaotic matter in order to construct the Cosmos; Number, in Pythagorean and Platonic theory, was responsible for the organization of physical space and thereby for the construction of the physical Cosmos."
Johnston, Sarah Iles. Hekate Soteira: a Study of Hekates Roles in the Chaldean Oracles and Related Literature. Scholars Press, 1990.
I can see how this would appeal to someone creating a procedural universe.

At the risk of re-opening the debate, theres 2 versions of the same conversation, both written by Drew W. One is written a lot later than the other so memory and all that. Im sure I posted both with links to source earlier in this thread. The consistent statement attributed to DB was given as its in the game / it exists. The rest is in one version but not the other.

edit - not using 'version' judgementally just cant think of better description.

MB statement that it 'should...play out in the game' (paraphrasing) makes me wonder if it is a story line rather than a mystery, I hope not.

I do wonder if the first test is not to talk about the first test....and then the DW missions happened and 2 seconds later were all over the internet and then dried up...

I think u're missing something ...it is a game, which must make money.
Soo ...cultural references cannot be used, or books which are not translated to all languages.
If they could reference something that would be world-well known like Ancient Greek myths.

For example - I never even know there is some "Drew" and his books prior I started to play this game and read this topic on this forum. So making puzzle related on it should be bad idea for selling game.

First rule of Fight Club - We do not talk about Fight Club...

Consider Arithmetic and (sacred) Geometry as related to Cosmology (and Music)...

Exhibit 1: The Raxxla logo, a hexagonal device with six sectors of 60 degrees each...
180

Exhibit 2: Ancient "Sacred" Geometry: Seed of Life, Vesica Piscis and the Merkaba...
sacred-geometry-the-seed-of-life-vesica-piscis-and-the-merkaba.jpg

Exhibit 3: Lagrangian Points L4 and L5 at 60 degrees to host, and "Trine" each other...
Lagrangianpointsanimated.gif

Exhibit 4: Discussion on the "Trojan" asteroid fields found at Jupiter's L4 and L5 points...

Exhibit 5: Relatively recent exploration of observable, universal energetic flow patterns...

Exhibit 6: Apparently random comments about ancient astrological "Trine" utilisation...
Try applying the (alchemical) principals of the Farmer's Almanac to hair care and only cut it when the Moon is 3rd quarter waning in a water sign (Cancer, Scorpio or Pisces) and ideally trine (120+/-6 degrees) Sol to encourage moist and healthy roots (ooh er!) so it stops falling out.

Conclusion: The species has collectively known about the phenomena for a LONG time.

Question: Have DB / MB introduced the "NOTABLE STELLAR PHENOMENA" to help us?

What would be an immensely handy thing to have in this game, and as a real-world application at some stage? A way to traverse the vast expanses of space without the impediment of time. To circumvent relativity, step outside the physics of the material plane and instantly appear elsewhere.

So, what might Raxxla be? How about a way to enter "witch-space" at zero velocity and stay there, outside time, space and the early 21st Century mainstream understanding of physics while plotting a route to Beagle Point, or the Magellanic Clouds, instantaneously moving there without using fuel?

It seems Thargoids might be able to do this at an intrinsic, biological level. Why can't we?

Because we are dum-dum.
