Why make excuses for a clearly imbalanced implementation? Yes, fix the actual bugs first but this really shouldn't have been the implementaton in the first place. Especially if you are going to tout not having to change the way you play to earn them in a reasonable amount of time.I get your Point...really...nevertheless...we are over 5 years in this game and we had to pay fully for complete paintkits. Regardless where I am or what I'm doing. Explorers couldn't even change their livery (what they can do now).
But as I said earlier...it's stuff for free not now yes...but its free stuff i can look forward to, when I return to "civilisation"... the only concern I see is with the upcoming Helloween and X-Mas. Okay, there you have point.
On a "larger" scale I don#t think it's a concern of really high Priority.
I'm thinking about pirates and hunters right now. They have almost now chance to make any descent credits, where "you" can hop on a base at returning and cash in several 100M at LEAST.
I don't want to offend you...I also like to "Get Out" sometimes...but I'm never worried about "income", "Cr/h", "Arghs" or paintjobs "RIGHT NOW".
Well, here's a new one for you (and yes, I submitted a ticket). While mining, the game completely crashed and will not restart (PS4). Bugs are one thing...complete game crashes are a whole different animal and do not reflect well on Frontier. Since all my other games are still working just fine, I can only assume this issue is related to the Sept update. Love the game...would like to give you a "well done" on the Sept update...but can't.Hello Commanders,
We wanted to give you a quick overview of some of the current known issues pertaining to the September Update. Please note that this isn’t an exhaustive list and may be updated over time.
As always, any issues and bugs you encounter should be reported via the Issue Tracker with as many details provided as possible.
We are currently investigating the following:
Fixed:
- PlayStation 4 crash on start-up
- Softlocking when attempting to engineer modules at engineers base or remote engineering
- Most markets/body sites from Witch Head Initiative have disappeared
- Players docked at Palin’s (new) base in Arque are loading in at his (old) base in Maia
- Switching ships keeps the modules from your previous ship in your power settings
- Ability to redeem voucher codes is removed – in the meantime, redeem gift codes here.
- Third-party API failed to connect
- Station's orientation on HUD in Supercruise doesn't match with its actual orientation
- Unable to connect to the game via a VPN
- Purchasing items with ARX, but player doesn’t receive the item
- Player cannot open purchase popup after selecting a previously owned item and then switching categories
- Unable to reach the free ARX cap
- Some Game Extras (on all platforms) and ARX (on PC) may not yet be available for purchase in the Store, affected items will be rolling out in the coming days.
Next steps:
- Unable to purchase ARX on Xbox
- Frontier Points not converted to ARX
- Commander stats are missing from Codex
- Stored engineered module do not display engineered status
- Disconnection when mining (error code: Black Adder/Scarlet Krait)
We are investigating the issues above and hope to have a number of these fixed as soon as possible. We’ll keep this thread updated when more information is available.
Thank you for your understanding and continued patience!
this is so, and all because developers receive money to a greater extent not for the game itself, but for donation.I just think gaming quality has taken a plunge recently.
I did that, neglected to add the experimental until I ran out of mats, now can't add the experimental as it no longer let's me go to the effect I was adding, which was why I came to the base, aaarrrggghhh.Dont know if yall will read this but I found a fix/workaround
Well, not a true fix but a bit of a workaround until its patched.
If you go to the engineers base, you can freely upgrade all your modules UNLESS you cursor over an upgrade that you are missing mats for. Have not yet tested this remote.
Does that make sense?
Say I am upgrading G5 MC at todds place. As long as I have ALL the mats required to do the upgrade, it wont soft lock.
If I don't have the mats necessary to roll, and select/mouse over the upgrade, then the screen will soft lock.
If it does soft lock, simply press your right panel button. Select engineers, then back out of the screen.
That's normal-ish - where I work if 2 people raise the same bug one is closed as 'duplicate' and any addition info is migrated to the first log and often another comment for is added to the original log to say person X also found the problem.QA recently claimed one of my bug reports invalid because someone else has reported the same before. I think there are tons of bug reports that have been done before in several versions of Elite again and again. In this case, most of the reports are invalid. Maybe they should be fixed someday. If you have time...
Excuses? No...sorry...Why make excuses for a clearly imbalanced implementation? Yes, fix the actual bugs first but this really shouldn't have been the implementaton in the first place. Especially if you are going to tout not having to change the way you play to earn them in a reasonable amount of time.
What about the "Blue Cobra" error - I got this yesterday when exiting Supercruise
Maybe you should stick to "WHO’S CLIP-CLOPPING OVER MY BRIDGE?"OMG, NOT the 'Blue Cobra' bug. You need to disconnect the network, remove the processor form your PC/Console and place this immediately into a bucket of Ice of direct in the freezer. This could explode endangering an area of Approx 5 miles radius. Connect with your local Nuclear Fallout team and tell them you have a Code 'Blue Cobra'
Finally place head between knees and kiss your bottom goodbye!!![]()
Maybe you should stick to "WHO’S CLIP-CLOPPING OVER MY BRIDGE?"
Like you just excused it again lmao.Excuses? No...sorry...
And talking about balancing in Elite: Dangerous... Really?
And "reasonable amout of time" is absolutly subjective. As far as it concerns me, NEVER is an unreasonable amount of time.
What everyone seems to have forgotten: "Patience, young Padawan." You can't rush things.
Like you just excused it again lmao.
More hours then are in a week to get to the limit playing the game as many people do is objectively bad not subjectively. Terrible balance is never excusable and they should fix it now before they move on like with all the other stuff you are mindlessly excusing by just saying "...Really?"
It should be changed it's obvious. This isn't about rushing it's about what’s objectively reasonable.
Read some Steam reviews. This forum is not representative. After reading this thread I can see why this sort of disaster is normal. Frontier doesn't need to competently manage running this game, or even bother testing builds before deployment, because an overwhelming amount of their fan base are obsequious bootlickers who accept this as normal and are ready to open their wallets no matter what.
Easy money.
yeah wait for fixing patch ;DHm … i am getting an network error message box saying … "Unable to initialise network. Please check your Connection" … any ideas?!?
