Well I realise you will stand up for your precious game regardless of its current state but them issues are there and like fdev you can just stick your head in the ground and ignore them.
We're not sticking our heads into the sand. We simply don't expect anything other than that we're patient about the things to come. That's all what counts. In the meantime, we simply try to enjoy what Frontier already delivered. 🤷‍♀️

However whining spoilt gamers have very little respect for anything due to the anonymity of the interwebs so they stomp their feet and cry when they get what they asked for.
But as usual these conversations are not worth the effort so....

Thats b s. How frontier in the past won the respect of the community:

  • Patch notes as long as encyclopedias with every major patch (something respectable will do if not that large, the current patches are zero nothing compared)
  • Passion and expertise in their community management content, ie, behaving respectably.

They had me eating out of their hands buying stuff all over the frontierstore when they acted like this.

These just don't happen anymore, its different and worse sub optimal. We took a downgrade. Same with their store income for me at least. The worst part is i bet they don't even attribute that to anything on their part and the market must be expended or something.

I think that most people that jump on the "Thank you Frontier"-train are either paid by Frontier or fake accounts by Frontier staff. I honestly don´t believe that anyone who as an IQ higher than room temperature can post something like "Thank you". We adressed those problems 5 years ago already, and once a year a post like "We are concentrating on bugfixing" comes out. And what did we get? More bugs and no content.

Anyone remember FX17? All those promises regarding quality? Nothing has happened. And I am close to say that frontier is NO longer working on Elite.

Tin foil hat at the ready!

Anyway how important that FC is delayed by six months ?

90% of Cmdrs do not have enough credits to buy one.

:sneaky:

I welcome their decisions... But onto your question... It's very important. I forsee a lot of unhappiness and some leavers. How

Patch notes are only useful if the actual content bears a resemblance to the truth. Typing up any old list of rubbish and claiming all fixed, when more bugs have been introduced is just worthless.

Frontier will earn my respect when I see some professionalism from them.

Here is a summary of our plans:
  • From now and into next year (2020), the updates will focus almost exclusively on addressing recent and longstanding issues, including those reported in the Issue Tracker, ultimately making the game better

Will,

Can I just ask a couple of querstions?

  1. When you say long-standing issues, does that include features which have been overlooked for a while? I.e. Multi-crew, Powerplay and CQC?
  2. Will there still be future Interstellar Initiatives?
Yes, I'm glad that the focus is to make the game more stable but I am concerned that there will be no new content in the future.

Thumbs up.
As painful to wait for new things it is very good approach taken.
And naturally you cannot make everybody happy, especially with human nature to criticize and be not happy.

I wish FD had/put more resources for ED.

There won't be no content at all in the NEAR future. Sad as it is.

So many CMDRs in rage about the delay, some even determined to quit! Entitlement all over the place. We'll see in a year or so who's still there and who not.

Come on guys, if we too learned a lesson about the September update at all, it's definitely better to have less features if we also get fewer bugs (some will stay ofc because they won't be able to fix all of them, so the whining will go on). It really makes no sense wishing for broken Fleet Carriers just to have that content in December. We complained and demanded betas in Open letters and all, they listened and changed their schedule (don't know how hard it was to sell that news to Tencent), but whatever they do, they simply can't win. I for one got enough content left for now, and I'm well over 22 weeks in the game. Play time, that is. You simply can't have it all together 🧚‍♀️

O7,
🙃

It's not entitlement, simply a rational decision.
Before I quit, the last few months I kept playing because of the promise that there will be a major update after Beyond. Hell, I even upgraded my GPU and bought a VR only for that.

Then the very day they announced the Q4 2020 through a forum post, I quit. I'm coming back to the forums mainly for the community/off-topic stuff - and to get first hand info about the game as sometimes I have the itch to fly spaceships... then, after seeing all the misery, I just don't do it.

I guess more and more come to the same conclusion while FDev is steadily losing credibility. They are losing a lot of preorders for the 2020 Q4 (reads: 2021 Q2) update right now.

All they have delivered is a broken mess. Every single update things get broken. It's pretty hard to enjoy.

To be honest, I'm quite satisfied with the Interstellar Initiatives as a way to keep me playing the game. That's new content as far as I'm concerned. I was wondering what the definition of 'long standing isues' actually meant, I.e. If it was just bug fixes or if they were going to make small passes at underused parts of the game.

No more of them after this one - bug fixes you asked for, so that's what you get.
