Inhabited Generation Ship (The Golconda)

Cool, thanks for sharing. Inhabited, interesting... Was there any clue that was used to find it? Something like this would be perfect for the rumour section in the codex, if FDev wants to point us towards something in the game nobody has found for ages.
There is a listening post in the system. There is a garbled message there that indicates a ship in distress near the planet B3.

I read the message and stopped by a station to pick up meds and travelled out there but got blown up very quickly (I was in Open).
I thought my attacker might have been concerned at my deploying hardpoints to use the scanners but a volley of reverb torps and maybe Grom missiles or LYR's missiles with something added did for my shields and I couldn't escape. My Annie was no frail shell but it was not PvP spec - theoretically enough to escape an interdiction but I also had to clear the Gen ship's own mass lock and it was too slow. Luckily I was breaking in a new pilot (still Harmless) and the rebuy had a notoriety discount (and was much less than the exploration data I'd turned in before visiting the system), so I haven't really lost anything today. If anything, it was informative to see how my Anaconda performed. (I'm more disappointed that, as an explorer getting the tip from Galnet quickly, I was slower to act on it than someone whose primary objective was PvP)
Best to be aware that there is the potential for hostility from other CMDRs in Open.

You missed nothing, I'm in solo with 200 tons of food supplies ready to be delivered but there's no interaction available other than scan the datalinks to read their story.
I also tried to drop 1 canister of food near their deposits but nothing happened.
I feel the same smell of cheat as the Gnosis one year ago...

I dropped by to take a look, the logs make interesting listening... First Generation Ship I've seen so nice to take a look around too, system chat has a few folk on discussing it, so it seems the story/forum has raised some interest.
