Instead of fixing the ramps a more CIG-probably solution will be to introduce jetpacks into the alpha for 199.99 (various skins available) to bridge the gap. If you dont want to shell out the extra money just ask a friend who has one....its a multiplayer game after all ^^

The real Star Citizen solution is to set your respawn point to the carracks medical room. You never have to walk back to your ship at all and can just fast travel.

Best February yet, doubling or nearly doubling what they've done in previous Februaries. Following the best January.

Took them until April last year to pull in as much as they have so far this year.

The money is still rolling in.

Money rolling in, alas, does not correlate with the game progressing. What about a 100 systems? What about fleshing out certain roles? Does anybody remember mixing drinks, customizing stewards' outfits, and maintaining musical equipment while playing DJ? Exactly. They may be coining it, but they are neck-deep in feature debt.

Stop confusing money with actual progress. One is emphatically not the other, certainly not at the rate at which they are burning the dosh.

That doesn't sound very fidelitious. It also breaks mah immurshun!

It may surprise you to learn the respawn mechanic is not that well thought out.

For instance, if i sneak on your carrack to steal it, kill you in the pilot seat and you've set your spawn point to the bed.....

Well, I go check the bed to see if you've spawned, you have so I kill you again. Then you spawn again in the bed because you can't choose to spawn somewhere else. I can't turn off the bed to stop you from spawning. So you spawn again and I kill you again. If I'm stealing your ship I can't let you back on and it turns into a game of patience.

Will I run out of ammo before you decide to leave the server.

Yeah. If 300 millions have been unable to make it happen I highly doubt 600 will. Money has not been an issue here. Administration and stewardship of said backers money, leadership and project management have.

What FTR fails to address in his latest vid is there is still no gameplay for that ship. It's exploration focused. So far it's a $600 fat penguin that's mostly used for two things:
  • carrying boxes for missions (you can do that with the starter Aurora), with an important caveat is that at least the Aurora has a functional way of boarding the ship.
  • taking screenshots (even saw someone in chat exclaiming "OMG i cant stop taking screenshots !!1!" while discovering his ship) - because there's little else to do with it

Boarding and flying this whale especially in atmo is terribly time consuming, and the luxurious interiors are completely non-functional so there's nothing to do while you wait for the ship to extract itself from atmo, or QT jump anywhere. Current status of the alpha-demo-whatever would rather dictate a much more practical approach like the Freelancer for instance...

Not related, they published their roadmaps and SQ42 is now at a complete stand still, and the PU has lost most of its features (too many to list). That wont be a good year for cultists..

Sounds like SC is a ganker and griefer's dream. Queue up at those Idris bedroom doors for unrelenting spawn-fidelitious fun. :p

Funny how we were told SQ42 was the priority* and why SC progress wasn't that high...

*BTW: wasn't Erin hired for SQ42 initially? Where is Erin? :p

It shows its lack of design concept. It's just cobbled together and stuff like that emerges as a consequence. MP design isn't so easy as people think.

Well, he did touch on it when discussing fuel, and made the point that thanks to its terrible fuel use and travel time, people in non-exploration ships can get anywhere quicker than you can.

It's also strange that your video is the first I've heard of such a 'bug' in any build of Star Citizen. Did you perhaps post the issue on the issue council so the devs at Ci¬G...not least, other backers are made aware of it?...After all, it was serious enough for you to make a video of it and have someone post it on an Elite Dangerous forum ;)
It's apparently taken from issue council to begin with: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/...g_door_causing_pc_to_restart__Video_included_
