Amazingly Realistic Immersion Mod

I have no idea how exactly that happens, but after some time in one instance the HUD switches back on (but not the blue spheres around the scanned planets) and doesn't react on pressing F1 key any more untill I change instance (I mean, go to supercruise, or to real space, or jump to another system). Then everything turns back on (I mean off) again and for some time operates as intended.

I tried turning on and off HUD-related shaders in d3dx.ini, but this doesn't seem to help.

Your graphic settings for the material quality is needed to be high or ultra.

Then I have no idea. that sometimes happens to me too but I don't bother much.

My real problem is the brightness without F1 is on because it's so dark like I put on a sunglasses and started to play. I'm gonna post some screenshots in a moment.

Btw; I'm here for the opposite of the thread, I like colourful and brilliant to watch universe. Most of the time for other games or irl I like the dark things too but not on this sim/game :3

I guess I found the culprit; here is two images comparing F1's with this edit;

BTW; I found this on another thread, for the most of the HUD dissapear use this hash and bind it to a key of course;

[ShaderOverrideMostoftheHud]
Hash=dcf4442f0c926aae

Edit: it didn't worked. When I get away from the main star sunglass effects starts back again lol.

Not that there is a chance for it to happen, but you never know.

I have made many, many requests for various options to customize what we see and how we see it in ED, if not in the game's graphic setting menu, then within the GraphicsConfiguration.xml file. These requests go back a couple of years now, long before I came across this mod. Frontier has always ignored my requests. On some levels this mod has saved the game for me, because I actually have a hard time stomaching how ED looks in default mode (especially in VR). Funny that, because some players go in the opposite direction where they turn on extra HUD garbage like orbit lines, which just drives me nuts. They will also crank up the galactic dust to make the game look even more NMS like. Yuck!

There are still parts of the game that drives me nuts, even with this mod. I hate all these popups in my face - No Valid Collection Target messages, Supercruise Assist Active idiot light hovering IN MY FACE, etc. Some of the UI design in this game is borderline idiotic (sorry Frontier). I have tried to get rid of these using the mod but to no avail. I've also requested these things be changed via a plethora of suggestion threads, but knock knock, nobody is home.

Anyway, sorry to rain on your parade, but to quote a certain famous spaceship captain - "That's a long wait for a train don't come."

hi....i wonder if is thewre a shader dedicated to the ship model..... is there a way to disable the cockpit ? (i know this is very 90' style, but i built a home cockpit for flight games and see the rendered cockpit inside the game is very immersion kill) thanks in advance for the reply :)

I'm torn; I love the blackness, but I don't like how there's no increased star density in any direction.

I tried playing with the graphics settings: I've now turned the dust of like you mentioned (-0.1) as the mode for nebulas on, but I also don't like playing that way as I get the ugly patches of colour in space instead of the blackness. If there was a way to make the space truly black (and reduce the intensity of the galactic plane) so that it was only faint, that would be ideal.

Any idea why my star density doesn't seem to have any effect at all?

I honestly do not. This has nothing to do with the mod, nor is it a problem I have. My star density in the bubble matches what I see in the night sky, with the obvious exception of the Milky Way itself. As I said earlier, Frontier "cheats" when it comes to the Milky Way. If they were rendering the stars of the galaxy 100% accurately, they would not need a MW texture to begin with, but since they do indeed use such a texture, it is clear that they are not rendering all visible stars in true fashion. There is no way to change this without rewriting the game itself.

In Supercruise the radar dish with the pulsating lines is still there with the Python in Open, not with the Sidewinder in Training. So perhaps the Python has an individual hash value for the radar dish in Supercruise?

Why remove all the space dust? Especially Towards the center. That's unrealistic removing it.
In VR it is WAY too bright. It looks like earth clouds in the sky (which ironically makes airless moons look like atmospheric planets at night). Turning it off in VR (specifically, the Oculus Rift S) gives me a star field that looks much more like what I see on a clear night, along with pictures taken from the ISS with regular cameras (not Hubble amplified color-tuned NASA cameras).

But hey, it's optional, so take it or leave it.

My problem still occurs and I am totally tired of playing in the dark. Beside from the all spacey dusty argument, which is totally nonsense dear Old Duck because not all of us have VR and live in places where you can actually see stars when night (I do want to see the stars :/ ) so we all here for making the game more beautiful for our tastes. I don't know what did I changed in the graphics.ini but now everything seems so clear when you very near the stars or planets but it will darken itself after putting some distance. This screenshot is something like mid-range dark; it will get worse when supercruising.

I totally agree with the unnecessary HUD elements which totally useless and ugly. That really needs to change. Also, why am I having this glare/bloom effect on text? Its so unbearable.....

Ok, for the question; how am I going to turn this dimming/darkening effects? Why it is even there? whats the purpose?

Those colours are the absolute worse in pancake or VR to use - change them to a gentle pastel colour and you'll get a great result.
Try these -
<MatrixRed>0, 0.38, 0.81</MatrixRed>
<MatrixGreen>0.5, 0.95, 0.7</MatrixGreen>
<MatrixBlue>0.9, 0, 0.14</MatrixBlue>

Oh.It's way to bright for my taste :/ I like hud dim, although I opened brightness all the way up to show the unbalanced lightning. Also I might forgot to turn off the deut colorblind mode on so color chart here maybe a little bit off from my perspective which I see that when brightness dimmed to the quarter to left as like cherry'ish dark red. It might be seen like brown idk lol. Also I hate green becoz yeah I'm color blind so I try to avoid it at all cost. what I want is dimmed red main, pink highlights and blue rest but still couldn't able to find it yet even though I spent a lot of time on the hud pickers like EdProfiler etc.

Btw; how could we use the EDFX and 3dmigoto altogether? I wanna play with reshader too.

Go to your right panel in your ship and turn down your hud brighness. Although I'm prob wasting your time if you're colour blind, I have no idea how you see stuff.

Go here - http://arkku.com/elite/hud_editor/#theme_0_1_0_1_1_0_0_0_1 it's a real-time hud colour tweaking tool to help you get things just right.

Once again a huge thanks for this awesome mod. Just to be clear though, no way to keep Nebulae visible, plus have all the other awesome features? I do like using nebulae and LMC/SMC for visual navigation.
