Seriously, you don't think it enters the equation, You don't think they factor in how much users will have to spend on hardware to play the game? They do, I'm in the industry, I know. But the cost of hardware is dwarfed compared with the value of the time invested in the game. I spend my time playing the game now in preparation for things coming in the future. I spent hour after hour mining because I wanted to make sure I could afford a fleet carrier whenever they came out. I emailed my ED mates saying we should start earning now for whatever we might need to buy in Odyssey. This time is valuable and I will never get it back. This isn't instant gratification like some games, ED requires commitment and investment. We have all done the grind for materials, for credits, for ranking so at some time in the future, maybe months in the future we can get a ship and engineer it and then benefit and move higher. If you haven't then you haven't played the game as intended. And now that investment is worthless as I can't continue with the game. Buying hardware and spending time in an investment into the game and that investment has now been thrown away. Don't even start on the "play the game on the monitor" rubbish.
