🐨 Planet Zoo: Update 1.3 and Australia Pack out now! 🐨

Hey bud, I checked with the team on this - they do believe the issue with saving terrain blueprints has been fixed. Give it a test on your blueprints you were having issues with, and if it hasn't been remedied, please send any save files you're still struggling with back to us. We'll take another look!

Just a quick question. Is it even possible to save a habitat-blueprint that has modified terrain and covers half or more of the map?

The problem with FPS and stuttering is a big problem, but I don't believe it will be fixed because it's a problem with the game engine, maybe in the future with a Planet Zoo 2 and a new engine that can use directx12. I suggest you to work with small and different parks.
This is an known issue since Planet Coaster. If they would care about and be interested to satisfy the customers, they would already have done that. This is more a showcase product than a working game. It's impossible to build a normal sized zoo without huge fps drops until the game becomes unplayable. Many Sandbox Zoos from the Workshop are set to 0 visitors because it becomes unplayable as soon as the poeple appear.

Hopefully in the coming patch the guests getting suck will also be fixed.

As for the FPS issue, yeah it's been a problem for sure same in PC. Needs the optimization the PC for console gets.

It is already reported. Please read your Issue Tracker.

Unbelieveable we pay for that and really have to wait another uncertain time instead of just pretesting your own products before sell them.

Yes, I am aware people are reporting their issues to the Issue Tracker. I am asking for people to continue to contribute, as different specs can play a part in issues.
I also asked people to report any bugs they are experiencing, not just the work zones. Thanks for your feedback.

Pff, he can't read either, or didn't even take the time.

You clearly stated "any other issues".

Frontier could spend months bug testing on their own systems (and I’m sure they did), but the best way to test it is to give it to us. The community of players have too wide a range of specs and play styles/design ideas to possibly test in a single group. They’ll fix the bugs as we report them, they always do.

Hello, the construction plans were BUT worked on!

I can finally save my dragon. Unfortunately, the price quoted in the building plan is not correct. According to the regular information, I would only have to spend about 110 thalers, but I need 42,000 thalers to design the construction plan. (This is of course super unfavorable, since you only have 40,000 as the starting money.)

Perhaps you can turn off the site maintenance fee for construction plans, or at least add them to it. So that you have a correct overview of the costs.

Although I would of course much prefer the costs of the terrain.

Thank you so much that it was finally made possible that I can move my kite to another zoo!

I'm so excited about this update, not just because of the many points raised above, but also because of the blueprint!

Many thanks to the team from me!

I just wanted to try it as a test to see if it wasn't possible. Suddenly after a few seconds the blueprint view was gone and the game continued. I was completely confused.

Where was the long wait and the game crash?

Confused and without any pretense, I looked under the blueprints and even found this new one.

And to my even bigger surprise, I managed to create this blueprint as well.

Within a few seconds!

The blueprints now work fine for me!

I hope to hear something about the price in the next few weeks.

Thank you very very much!

Best regards
Gabi

Ah, that's why. Thanks.

You can find the rainbow tree listed as a rainbow eucalyptus if you do a general search under the tree category, so they're definitely two different trees in the game and not just mislabeled.

Ah okay my mistake. It's weird as I searched for rainbow and and didn't get any results. I don't think I had any filters on (except removing blueprints). But that was yesterday. I'm not in game right now but I'll check next time I am. Maybe it's me who has missing content for some reason. or I might have had filters even though I didn't realize or remember it. :(

My Dingo has lost its head :O

It's a new feature, losing heads confirmed lol. Just kidding offcourse

Might as well be since that's the forth or fifth time I've seen a screen of it posted already, so definitely something many people encounter...and well, while it IS kinda funny it obviously really shouldn't happen.

I agree it shouldnt be happening and i sure hope this bug, the guests being stuck for no reason and the workspace crash are fixed fast

I'm not sure if it is a bug or just bad timing, which is why I am commenting here and not reporting it. Before the patch, I had one Indian Peafowl that seemed to love to go for long walks, on the paths, outside of his habitat. After the patch, last night I had another peafowl that went walkabout, out in the undeveloped grassland. a giraffe that wanted to see the other exhibits (using paths) and a flamingo chick that was curious about its neighbors. I'm not sure if there was a wall maintenance issue or not. I simply hired two more Maintenance personal and put them strictly on repair.

I did find it funny that the visitors just ignored the Peafowls but ran in panic from the giraffe.

I had two lions phase through the exact same fence area. Something similar has happened before, which different things, but when moved back it stopped. Hope it works with the lions.

problem that my zoo is small...but from 4 thousand visitors the game is lagged

btw, as the performance issues seem mostly related to the path-finding of visitors, it helps to reduce crowding by using wider paths especially on connections.

You can limit the guest numbers in the settings.

Problem is when you do that you don't only limit the numbers of visible guests but everything to do with guests, meaning you get less income as well and you can't do that when you play outside of sandbox. For this to acutally work in all modes we'd need an option that only limits the number of rendered guests and not the actual guest number, so the CPU has less pathfinding and stuff to calculate while we still get the profits...though, with all the other game mechanics in place I'm not even sure that's an option. Either way it seems the number of generated guests in proportion to the number of animals in the zoo is way to high for what the engine can currently handle and we're stuck with it because our zoo's profit is linked to that number as well.
