Anthem is dead in the water. Allegedly they are redoing the game but it's pretty hard to rebound from that abysmal launch. And just like SC they pulled their own roadmap of unfullfillable dreams. Anthem deflated rapidly - the only thing they were able to deliver was one of the major events. And it was actually more than a differently coloured skybox - I was surprised. However, for a looter shooter you'd expect to find interesting loot. That part was never BW's forte - it was story (barely non present) and gameplay (flying is actually fun - the rest might have suffered from brain drain and troubled development.
Not saying Anthem doesnt have its problems but its not dead in the water until the company turns off the servers. There is a small community still playing, development continues tho it ll take immense effort to bring the game back to what people want on the other hand...nobody thought NMS would pull a 180 and recover from its abysmal release.
Being released....thats the key factor here. With that goal line behind you , you can look forward and try to recover. If its still in front of you (ahem....Star Citizen) its far more likely you drop everything and call it a day.
