Oooooohhhh yes!!!!! Went out Scout hunting with my son and decided to drop in on a Threat 5 ... engaged the Cyclops and despite running out of Gauss Cannon ammo half way through the 4th heart we took it out!!

Just our two Kraits and I only had 2 Gauss Cannon equipped at the time ... had to whittle down the last heart with only my lads four AX MC and then the final shield with just my non-AX MC followed by its remaining hull with everything we had ... both ended the fight with about 30 bullets left and 2 mil richer!!

Get in!!
Legends! 🍻

Well done.
My son wants to go AX as well, but he hasn't figured out the radar just yet and panics when something is shooting is 6. But I'd love to take him AX hunting one day like you did.

happens in normal CZs a fair bit, the CZ doesnt end just keeps spawning ships.

you must have missed all the salt when the Thargs first appeared about how they were too hard. Hence the speed up of all the AX weapons and iirc they also nerfed the Thargs at the same time. Frontier did exactly what the AX crew were crying for, welcome to the world players created, against Frontier better judgement.
I remember the opposite. I was in a wing which took down a Cyclops as soon as we got AX missiles; we just used those and ordinary lasers. When people started doing that, FD decided Thargoids were too easy and nerfed the missiles. There was salt about that for a while until we got more weapon types.

Thargoids are to easy, if cyclop can be destroyed even in totally unengineered ship by player which bought this game 2 weeks ago :) We need only 1 type of guardian weapon.
Sorry, but I don't feel, that this is "few million years old civilization with suprerior technology, which burned tens of stations"
But maybe duck has right, and problem is in fact, that only way to "win" is kill all aliens?
And fact, that I can't kill hydra solo change...e...nothing? I wait for thargoid mothership.
PS: Reward sound "all systems protected" no 5/6, so no incursion, no AX CZ, GG.

Anyone still out in the WH and need sensor fragments to unlock Chloe - I have a bunch of stolen Thargoid Sensors available under Secure Trading on the Justice of Toren (Yuanjia) - buy 'em, shoot 'em, scoop the fragments. Luvverly job. One of the few legit uses for stolen goods ;)

I guess the path for diplomatic negotiations with the xenos has dissapeared now. Be prepared for a long war.
Actually, I don't believe that's true. I believe the Thargoid hive mind doesn't view the killing of its drones as a threat. In fact, I think it's part of the plan to toughen humans up for the real enemy to come. The only real threat the Thargoid agenda, I believe, is AEGIS.
Either that or Frontier and the Thargoids are the worst battle strategists in the history of the universe and I don't believe that.

Frontier is probably relieved that all systems were protected, because now they don't have to fix AX CZs so they actually work. ;)

Protected? So why there are still Hyperdictions and in some cases over 150 NHSS per system? Not only in CG system but in EVERY system there. This CG was pointless casue they were there before it and they are still in huge numbers after. I see no difference in-game at all.

There's certainly some pretty weird implications about Thargoids from their oft-cited "hide behind the bubble" strategy. I can only assume a mistranslation or cultural misunderstanding somewhere.

Summary
System: Onoros
Station: Golden Stag (Megaship, large pads available, 63.66 Ls from main star, 905.89 Ly from Sol)
Objective: Hand in Combat Bonds after fighting the Thargoids
Time limit: 22nd October 3306 @ 06:00 UTC

Description
Thargoid vessels detected in Alliance-controlled systems within the Witch Head Enclave.
The Thargoids have reappeared in the Witch Head Nebula, and are swarming in large numbers through the Onoros, Lembass, Haki, Wellington and Shenve systems.
Sixteen systems within the nebula were colonised last year to form the Witch Head Enclave, after a successful initiative to locate fresh barnacle sites. This initially triggered a hostile reaction from the Thargoids, but their presence was relatively low until now.
Captain Warren Lamar, head of security for the Alliance Expeditionary Pact, put out an urgent call for assistance:

The Alliance Expeditionary Pact has confirmed that it will offer generous rewards to all Commanders who assist with destroying Thargoid vessels.
The top 75% of contributors will have Guardian Frame Shift Drive Boosters unlocked and a size four module put into storage for them at the Golden Stag by the 24th of October.
To be eligible for rewards, you must sign up as an active participant before handing in Combat Bonds at the Golden Stag in the Onoros system.
Please note that if you have any crew members, a portion of your combat bonds will be automatically assigned to them. These combat bonds will not count towards your personal contribution total, and your crew will receive the reward for their bonds when they are handed in. The proportion of combat bonds assigned to your crew will depend on their rank.
Be aware that faction-state changes and other disruptive events can negatively impact markets and station services, and could prevent the initiative from running smoothly.
Notes:
  • Station services: Commodities Market, Outfitting, Refuel, Restock, Repair
  • Nearest Shipyard: Karian Vision, Onoros (45 Ls)

I got the FSD level 4 booster.. but does this mean I can buy the level 5.. is that unlocked for us also???

Okay, this is odd ... doing some unlocks before moving my carrier out of Yuanjia, is it really the case that the tech broker at Bray's Landing does not have Guardian SLF available to unlock? Or am I missing something basic here?
