Unregistered Comms Beacons are the ones that transmit an audio message periodically.

LPs give a direct message.

Example below:

Also, paging @Arthur Tolmie @Stephen Benedetti @Bruce Garrido - there's no message from the Listening Post. They normally have a message so it looks like there's a bug. (Also the stuck/sunken SRV that's on the planet in the Coalsack seems like it might be supposed to give a message but didn't.)

seems FDev is waiting for the livestream to kick start the listening post

How long should I wait at a listening post ?
I herd it was anything from 15mins to an Hour ?

So I was checking out the GEO site and the crashed SRV, decided to scan the biological in the middle of the area. Nothing. Before leaving I did it again and a huge Thargoid ship appeared, hovered, scanned me and the barnacle, then blasted it. It was actually kinda cool.

The Listening Post at the K-star is confirmed and Acknowledged as bugged: https://issues.frontierstore.net/issue-detail/20221

Stand by till it gets resolved. More than likely it's the final lead that was supposed to bring us to the M-star and the outposts / logs there.

I wouldn't completely rely on that as proof that it is a bug - I know of at least one bug which was reporting a fully intentional and documented (if obscure!) feature sat as Acknowledged for months before Frontier noticed and marked it as "by design".

The QA staff have a lot of bug reports to get through and don't always know all the obscure details of how things are supposed to work, so do occasionally make mistakes.

(I'm not saying it's not a bug - it seems very likely it is - just that the bug status is not proof that it definitely is)

Yeah, it turned griefer tastic around the LP. Don't let that put you off Open though, the Coalsack was good in Open - people just generally helping each other, plus a bit of SRV racing and stuff like that.

Just in case anyone missed it - they confirmed on the stream that it's a bug and they know about it. Hopefully it'll get sorted fairly soon!
