Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Hopefully the full might of 50 players in their Idrises won't be enough to stop the onslaught of whichever insidious threat is inbound to the hapless Stanton system and it gets nuked into oblivion and declared a no-jump zone in their rich and deep lore.

That will hopefully allow them to introduce some other system they've been hard at work on for the last decade that isn't a boring mangled mess of something a Banu left on the doormat.

The xenothreat event is delayed to the beginning of new year.

Was this the spoiler? 😁

RIP

never to be seen again.

Hey now. ToW is coming out any day now...

Someone over there pointed out a cute instance of CI¬G's… strained… relationship with the word “sell”:

Having playing on ptu for the past 2 days back to back all I can say is while the server cap of 40 players + back end services improvement significantly made everything buttery smooth ..

For example - area 18 downtown core 55fps Lorville - Tessa space port 53 fps New Babbage - promenade 43 fps Po / r&r (L1 all sites ) - 62 fps Ins Jericho - 62 fps

And for the first time I personally felt like .. it was almost like I was in eve online ( I was there moment ) for those who know what I m talking about but with SC immersion and diesel oft , it was amazing got 2 idris mission man it was epic AF

But with all that great stuff , the issues were also happening ..

Random client crash ( no 30ks ) full on exit crash to the debug page ..

Some how Hammerheads were spawning like crazy in the missions , like instead of 2 HH there was like 5-6 so while the party size was growing to combat this npc bug/feature lol it was just too difficult to complete + the random crash ( not 30k ) was not helping either .

So I guess the choice was smooth play game for random crash .. or revert back to 50 cap players + backend improvement minus that mission .. I would say this was a good business decision even though PR wise it may sound bad ..

Oh and also it’s still slated for 3.12.x and it’s alpha so m sure that plays into that “ fine print “

My specs - RYZEN 3700 Rtx 3070 32 gb 1tb nvme

Buttery smooth... 55 fps in loreville, with a Ryzen 3700 and RTX3070.

My buttery smooth rear end.
