I agree. I thought we would have started off with ship interiors and then expand outwards, especially as most of us spend more time in our ships than anywhere else. Maybe that will change once we can walk around stations. Even so, I see my ship as being more important given it’s my homeThe missing ship interiors is a big gap between flying and walking around. I'm not sure if I'll buy odyssey until that is part of the game too. Another fade to black transition is a no go for me.
I did not know that, thanks. Makes buying it a bit more attractive.Isn’t that exactly what FDev have said they’re going to do?
We’ll go to an in-HMD flatscreen when going on foot, or we can take off the goggles and continue playing on the monitor:
I want to see what's coming besides walking around and FPS.If you're Undecided about Odyssey, what do you want to see?
It's all about PVE for me; I'll be okay with a little lite FPS gameplay now and then but I really want living breathing social hubs. Someone behind a counter to turn missions into, in an upstairs office, drop off a crate of unlicensed weapons in a closet in the boiler room, and old hermits to deliver food to in an SRV.
This would reduce the sales of Frontier. What would I most like to see....
... an extra save slot.
But in general the pre-orders are cheaper, no ?What's the point in preordering though? The only thing it can be is the bonuses. Which don't look very good.
It really means the most absolute of nothing whether you pay today or a minute after. Frontier can't even rob you the steam refund policy starts from the launch date for preorders.
I'm the kind of player who sometimes uses a goal to direct his gameplay, but not to generate any enjoyment. So it won't matter to me if it's the same goal. As long as I enjoy the moment to moment gameplay, that's why I sign on. Plus I'm quite enjoying the outcomes, affecting the background simulation in my case, and time is no concern, the kids will move out soon so I have little but time.I'd be interested in this if it wasn't just a time-sink over doing the exact same thing for the same outcome via the menu we have now.
If all it would do is make it "prettier and less efficient", I'd rather skip it.
I'm guessing that was all out in space with little in the way of obstacles, cause they couldn't even get NPC drivers on planet surfaces / bases due to lack of navigational skills - never mind NPC's dealing with buildings, levels, elements like fire doing damage or taking cover. Here's hoping they hired some good help.Sarah Jane Avory (sorry if I mistyped the name) aka The Mistress of minions, did a really good AI back when engineering became a thing. Bar the bugs (multicannon plasma anyone?) the AI was GREAT, it was CHALLENGING and you really needed to watch your back when you heard for example "Warning, Impulse Attack". It required skill to survive.
...

All I want is to be able to walk around the ingame assets we already have in the game like ships and stations. Some people didn't pre-order Odyssey yet. What do you want to see that would convince you to buy it?
Such as:
- PVE exploration gameplay on foot
- New ship or SRV
- Do Social hubs feel alive
- Do NPCs have dynamic routines (walk around, errands, sleep)
- Faction costumes to dress your avatar
- A club, disco in stations (e.g. the Afterlife club in Mass Effect 2)
- Story-driven missions (dlc)
Ship interiors (not included)- Emotes for avatars (dancing, cheering etc)
- Pets, animal companions
- Player housing (apartments in stations, a place to call home)
Just don't see any point in shelling out cash for something that doesn't exist yet. When it does I'll make a judgement call on the value of the product to me and buy, or not buy, accordingly.

Ahhhhhh, I c what you are saying player but I still have to get it <22>.The missing ship interiors is a big gap between flying and walking around. I'm not sure if I'll buy odyssey until that is part of the game too. Another fade to black transition is a no go for me.

Until then tho I will not stop Interdicting frontier at every step of the way until its in...the exclusion of interiors is a baffling one like showing up to bar and they don't have drinks!? If anything I thought interiors would have been first.
