I arrived at Beagle Point at 9:31 PM Pacific Standard Time 12/28, and docked with the DSSA Distant Worlds FC at 9:48. This, along with the planned hop to Oevasy, is the culmination of my latest exploration project that started in late summer.

I left Trinh Terminal (Tsondama) on 9/6, and arrived at Colonia (Jacques Station) on 9/10 at 1:51 AM. I stayed there until 9/13, and departed toward Sagittarius A. The Galactic Center region was reached on 9/16 at 11:26 PM and Sagittarius A on 9/17 at 6:51 PM.
I explored the nearby Juenae sector, where I found dozens of previously undiscovered neutron stars. Before heading toward Mare Somnia, I headed toward DSSA Sleeper Service near Ryker's Hope to turn in the exploration data that I had so far (9/23 11:56PM). This took me high above the galactic plane so I stayed in the area for a few days to explore the high areas of Oopainz, Slauloae, and Synaisa. There, I found plenty of undiscovered systems as well as some stars that were in the lower to upper 2900 LY above the plane (several of these required a neutron boost or jumponium to reach). There were several that were over 3000 LY above the plane, but are unreachable unless you want to do a suicide one way neutron jump or use a fleet carrier. I also found plenty of undiscovered black holes and neutron stars in this region. Below is a screenshot of my Anaconda at Slauloae EG-Y g2, 2967 LY above the galactic plane. This is as high I could get without doing a suicide one way jump.

Here is a screenshot of the SRV in one of the planets in the upper galactic plane. I was lucky to land at a time in which the galaxy was covering the sky, so it looks as if I am at the bottom of the galaxy but this is how it looks like when the galaxy is covering the sky above the planet:

I arrived at the Mare Somnia region on 10/10 at 12:55 AM and the galactic rim of this region on 10/11 at 11:04.
The contrast between the galactic center and the outer galactic rim, in case you haven't yet seen it, is something that must be seen to be believed. Compare Juenae CB-W e2-926 in the galactic center:

I explored along the outermost area of upper Mare Somnia (from around Fluye Bliao to Truetchio. Then the focus was on filling some holes in both Mare Somnia and Acheron, mainly in the Gootio, Essap, Cyitchoae, Grie Blao, Hyphieleau, Grie Byio, Chu Theia, Iockam, Swierao, and Nuwhoe sectors.

The above thumbnails show an example of how I filled holes. You can see the hole found in the sectors shown in the third thumbnail, as well as how I left it after I explored it. ED Astrometrics is a great resource for finding unexplored areas around the galactic rim.
Even though the hole shown above is relatively small, it took days to undiscover and scan all the systems found there.
After this, I used the route plotter to head toward Beagle Point. which was reached without incident. As I entered through the northeastern sector of the Abyss, I found dozens of undiscovered systems, but I was fully aware that as I approached BP, there would be nothing but previously discovered systems-this was true for the last 50 or so jumps left of the route (in an Anaconda with a 75.2 LY jump range).
I will head to Oevasy tomorrow and then start the return to the bubble. After I spend some weeks doing activities in and around my home system, it's off to filling more holes in the galactic rim.
