The T-9 Trades missions get given if you stay in a system for long enough ~15mins? Maybe you are hopping around more..

That's what I have read here in the forums. My first impression was exactly this, that the trade beacon occurs after some time.

I was mining in the Ega-system (just to unlock the engineer) and after some time I hear "Mission critical message received" (paraphrased) while I didn't have any active mission. I didn't notice the trade beacon in the star system panel and I left the Ega-system to do my Powerplay-merits.
When I jumped back into the Ega-system, I got the "Mission critical message received" immediately after jumping into Ega. Before I jumped into Ega I visited the Wille-system and accepted a mission from Wreaken Construction to Ega, so at first I assumed it was a bonus for fast delivery.
I then noticed the Trading Beacon; so there's the possibility that the Trading Beacon is persistent after it appears.

The second time I got the Trading Beacon was again in the Ega-system, and in the same game session I also got my first "mysterious tip-off".
I do indeed more hopping around, but when I stay in one system, I stay a long time. I've also read that the tip-off is dependent on the number of missions you have done for a minor faction.

Anyway, after reading here in the forums I assumed that the Trading Beacon and the mysterious tip-offs are just procedural fluff and they have no story/lore-related effect.
After reading Jorki's collection of DB-/MB-quotes, I'm going to take into account that they might have some effect but we don't know what further breadcrumbs we need to follow.

@djadjok is the tip-off expert - he's done hundreds, and they have never led very far. The chains are short, and there is usually at best some sort of background flavour story in the chain, but no invites as such.

Can only confirm it, with a citation:

I don't know what you expect to find out here. This wreck's been here forever and I've never heard of any secret treasure being hidden inside.
Someone's messing with you.

My thoughts on Deep Space Raxxla searching... I am approaching this from the "Sirens of the Deepest Void"... I would find as many of those vacuum life forms... and in the immortals words: Science the heck out of them. Paying special attention to audio analysis. And especially those Anomalies....

You need to read between the lines! If the tip-off never mentioned a secret treasure, then it means there is something ;)

As I said, I consider them fluff, but I'll keep them in mind anyway because they might lead you somewhere as a side effect.

The problem is that looking at tip off texts - either "directly" or between lines - is the less reliable approach =) My confirmation above is based on pure mathematics and programming points of view, in general I do not bother to analyse texts.
But, yeah, I can also read between lines. And there I see that tip off logs were really well thought and ideally placed teasers, and our present discussion - 5 years since their first introduction - is the best prove of that. Also, you know, really good teasers do not usually contain any real spoilers, quite the contrary - and the results one can observe on a regular basis up to nowadays=). Brilliant design decision.

You know when Indy said in "Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade" that never in history has a treasure been marked by an X? And then in Venice there's this huge X on the floor?

It wouldn't surprise me if FDev did mark Raxxla by an X and I kinda expect that now :)

Ok,ok, If you want stories about placing X'es, I have them ;)
Comms Record:
I hope you don't expect me to draw an X on a map for you! The only person getting the transponder code is me.
Comms Record:
I swear if you draw an X on the ground I'll shoot you myself. Lets just stash the loot and head to the safe house.
PS. Sorry - that's just to maintain newly born tradition=)

Hello fellow Seekers,
i spent the last week catching up in various forum posts and reddit threads, so here are my two cents

im still not over the theory that the Children of Raxxla Emblem is a clue to something. That and the toast of TDW seem the most concrete pieces of a puzzle that i could find.
Comparing it with other faction emblems it has too many specific pointers to be just that. The toast mentions 6 individual pieces (the jewel, the whispering, the siren, parents grief, lovers woe and vagabounds yearning) and the Emblem has 6 corner pieces. I personally think that identifying these 6 pointers could be a huge part of finding TDW or even hints about what and where Raxxla could be or how to reach it. It is specifically mentioned TDW's main objective is finding raxxla, not guarding or mystifying it so im closer to believing that the toast is about DW station or something else entirely. I have seen many interpretations of the toasts parts and connections to greek literature, with interesting takes such as the siren being a neutron star and the jewel or the yearning being sol (home). My hunch is that with these pieces in place you could triangulate (double triangulate? hexilate?) a place, a point in which something is to be found. Maybe just a system, maybe something we dont know as of yet (Rouge Planets, hidden systems, etc).

Looking at the Emblem again i feel like the 6 pointers could be outside the bubble as well, interpreting the dotted line as the bubble itself or even the milky way.

The mention about raxxla being a door leads me to believe it could be a place between places, as doors tend to be, maybe a point between systems or between planets, who knows, im reaching now.

Also i had a strange encounter in the Lung System, which in my infinite wisdom i failed to screenshot. Still beating myself up about that. Thought to add it so maybe you guys can ease my mind.
Yesterday i took my brand new Mining Python out to the Lung A Belt Cluster to try out mining (first time, usually just space trucking). Struggled a little, took me quite a while to figure things out, got some value and was out of limpets, so i charged my supercruise to visit the closest station, sell and log off for the day. As previous posts mentioned before, i too got an immediate "Mission Objective Detected" and a Trading Beacon Pops up. Cheching out the Signal i was greeted by Ariel with his usual talk about unbeatable prices and such, but a second later i received a message by a unnamed contact, requesting me to deliver 36 Non-Lethal-Weapons to Hopkins Landing. The unnamed contacts picture was yellowish/orange, pixelated/glitched and had had dark box with something along the lines of "redacted", "error", or "unknown" written in it. My immediate instinct, since im neck deep in tinfoil right now was to attribute it to TDW since it somewhat matched colours with the Codex entry's picture.
The message started with something like "The stars (fore)told we'd meet" (playing on my default language, german. just a rough translation) and was overall not what im used to receiving as random missions.
The mission itself was attributed to the Green Party of Lung, which seemed weird since i've done a bunch of missions for them and didnt attribute them with any shady dealings (correct me if im wrong). It was a Elite Rank Trading mission with either ~600k, a commodity i cant remember or a x5 or 6 Influence reward (currently Tycoon Rank in trading). In a panic i pressed F12 (steam screenshot hotkey) forgot that im on epic launcher and accepted the mission, thinking this HAS to be something and i have to know RIGHT NOW.
Flew to a neighbouring system, got what i needed and hurried back to Lung, being greeted with the same mission objective signal, checked it out just to be sure. Ariel was still there with his usual spiel.
Turned the mission in and was congratulated by the Green Party for my contribution. Nothing else happened. Im just thinking to myself should i have taken the influence? did i miss something? Or is this something very common and irrelevant and im just losing my mind because of a yellow picture. The only proof i had was the Log saying i accepted a mission from NAME_"something" (cant remember) and that i turned it in for Green Party of Lung, defeated, i didnt even screenshot that. Im legit loosing sleep about this.

Happy Hunting Commanders o7

Just saw video about Zurara, guy read 4 logs there. However I had 7. 1 of possible reasons for that is I found beacons in Bubble prior trip. And that may mean game may find from us something depend on prev. actions.
Would be great if somebody can check with fresh commander there.

I must admit I have been on a little break too, booked a holiday cruise on a lovely megaship from Colonia to Beagle Point recently. I just love tax free shopping for chocolates in uncharted areas of galaxy. Also it's amazing how you can find an Irish bar no matter where you are. Who knows what is going to happen out there, might find Raxxla, or a sea food buffet, maybe both.

Obfuscated!

Seriously its probably flavour text and fluff. Reality is its more like a follow-on mission where its activated by your recent actions, doing missions for a faction for example. Some are just more 'mysterious' than others, if criminal or illegal goods or weapons they will hide their faces.

On the other hand its either deliberately or accidentally designed in a way to feed into our conspiracy theories, i tend to think not, they had no idea how much we would read into anything and just did it as a more mysterious / thrilling scenario than the usual BBS ones.

Yes, welcome to the no pay-off missions. Where you stumble on something or someone gets in touch and you do this stuff all excited as to what the story is and.....nothing. Wait til you stumble over the Secret Agent one. Thats hours of fun and then, 'oh was that the end?'

Tip-off missions mentioned above are slightly different as at least you usually get an 'ending' however 'disappointing' that is, theres no treasure here what were you expecting? which is a clever if brutal writing ending, not everything pays off, this isnt that sort of game....and depending on how new you are maybe some 1st experiences too.

And to link it to another way of thinking, minimal info allows our minds and imagination to fill in the gaps and go 'exploring' for that answer which is far more fun than being in a linear storyline.

Ya the Linguistics and Ancient Aliens was just spitballing fun... but im ready to hang my hat on the Parijat Tale being the Childrens story of Princess Astrophel and the Spiraling stars... It hits all the points.

Childrens Tale - Check, The story of Parijat has been a standard Childrens tale for a long time.

Princess - Check

Astrophel - I have long thought that Astrophel was not the obvious Philip Sidney story but rather - someone who loved the stars, I kept thinking it was an astronomer.... but Parijat literaly fell in love with Surya the Sun. so Check

Spiraling Stars - Check, The Parijat myth is tied into the Churning of the Milky Ocean (Milky Way), wihich also hits all the Omphalos and Creation Myth Elements.
Ya I also think that Holdstock might have used Indian Mythology a bit in his writings. And ya I think the Raxxla Symbol is supposed to be a Yantra of some sorts...

But in general I think this points us to needing to look closer at Hindu Creation Mythology to use as a text for pulling out some possible clues.... The Confluence.... Again Possible ties to Sirius.... And the idea of Ratnas as the samarandara pearls :)
