I am just 400 LY from the intergalactic border, which is part of the the target exploration area I am working on. So far I have fully scanned 60 systems-all first submissions to EDSM as well as being previously undiscovered. It might not look like a lot, but the star density is very low where I presently am.
There are also lots of notable star phenomena in the sectors I am exploring. Unlike the previous 4 month long trip in which I found zero, in this trip I have already found more than 10 just in the target exploration area. Below are some examples.

I haven't been able to take hi res screenshots. I do press alt-f10 but the computer responds with volume level control instead, so right now I take screenshots with f10.
The area I am working on might not have the glamour or fame of Beagle Point or Salome's Reach, but it has areas that are hard to reach unless you have at least standard jumponium. I am now in an area in which jumps of at least 60 LY are the norm, and I have had to make a jump of about 106 LY to keep going (this means standard grade jumponium).
This also means that a full fuel tank is now a liability since I now need as much jump range as I can. So, I keep it half full at the most. In tis way I don't have to use basic jumponium when the systems are about 77 light years apart. If I filled the tank, I would have to use jumponium in this situation.
