What if ...?
Lemon slide raxxla.jpg

Nah... Just a joke. I traveled here (it was a pain in the ass to find the way) but I did not see anything interesting, apart from the wonderful view of our galaxy from that point.

can we somehow technically see if there is a second galaxy in our game client? in the earliest versions of the Elite, several galaxies existed. Perhaps there is such a thing in ED, and then it will be clear to us what to look for ... a portal, a gate, something in this sense

Yea, Raxxla as jumping ship is a good idea:
1) Fit to Elite Dangerous engine capabilities
2) Interactable without horizons update
3) Easy to control, you can hide it without additional permit locks
4) Explain why DW lost it. Stellar object like planet is hard to lost, but jumping algorithm...
5) Without knowing what are you doing it is almost impossible to find it, brute force is useless as ship will jump out.

So we just need to figure out where it jumps :ROFLMAO:

PS: Gateway to another galaxies is not needed, I think long jumps like few sectors could be already powerful.

I don't really see the need for another galaxy when we've barely scratched the first :p The most obvious need is a more powerful jump capability to help kickstart a diaspora of exploration in the deep sectors of the galaxy and open up new avenues of lore content.

I certainly don't mean ship upgrades if that's what you're getting at, more like a network of 'hypergates' that could help funnel players into less explored areas.
I see. There might be some merit in that idea, but I don't think it would help solve Raxxla mystery, I think it would rather hinder it by diluting the search. Search which is pretty much doomed to fail if you try to brute-force it, there simply are not enough players and the subset of players who would actually look for Raxxla is even smaller number.

Because you didn't visit it yet. There are 2 stars there number 13 and 19, I can see number changing if I switch "visited" checkbox.

That’s a star catalogue name & it’s quite common to have duplicate stars when inputting real life star catalogues as they have different values for the distance from Sol due to inaccuracies in real life astronomical measurement.

That is datamining, which contravenes FD’s End User Licence Agreement, is considered cheating and hence we don’t discuss such matters (or any results obtained from that or similar practices) in this thread, and the moderators would remove it (quite rightly!).

But FD have said there is only one galaxy implemented in ED.

There is definitely a bug in the forum. I cant edit a post- when I try the text to be edited just disappears. Tried it on my iPad, now trying on the PC & it still happens!!

That were many threads since yday. You need open dev tools and reset cookies/application states / whatever mentions this site. Inara will logout as well in result.

Mmm personal opinion, I’m not sold, don’t get me wrong, it’s a great idea but I can’t see any literal connection, just now, it’s all a little too interpretive.
But that’s not surprising, given that Crowley etc collated and utilised various religious concepts, such as Ancient Greek, Egyptian, Christianity, Kabbalah, Jewish mysticism, you name it.
David Bowie in the 70s was also real fan too..

Honestly I like the idea of a rouge planet or ship, as that ties in with the whole lore with ‘whispers’, and the spooky goings on with the generation ship ‘Thetis’. But I’m not sold on any other ‘galaxies’ being out there, Raxxla IMPO is either an Easter egg, some type of engineer FSD booster.

Who knows, anything really is possible, I am more inclined to believe as time moves on, that there are no clues, and it’s at the will of a narrative, cobbled together from a variety of esoteric influences, with no discernible correlation, except the personal preferences of the author.

Anything goes really. I’ve studied Crowley, for my work, might be a fun dalliance.

Do what thou wilt.
