Planet Zoo - Custom Billboards

Do you think we can get smaller sizes? I would really love to have these:

ingame-dimensions | image-dimensions
1:0.5 | 512x256
0.5:0.5 | 256x256
0.5:0.25 | 256x128
0.25:0.25 | 128x128

And what would be even cooler are round billboards. I'm making a Zoo that has roads in it. With small round billboards I could make stop signs for example. Maybe you can make it so that we give the game a square image and the game automatically cuts off the corners. So like this for example:

radius | image-dimensions
1 | 512x512
0.5 | 256x256
0.25 | 128x128

Edit:
I thought of another way, why having small billboard would be awesome. You said that we will be able to 'advertise' a guest destination. That means that we could 'advertise' buildings or viewpoints etc.. Basically everything other than animals. And instead of having to place a 1 by 1 meter billboard, to possibly block the view, we could use small ones that are easier to hide.

Or what would be cool aswell. Having something like the exhibit educational displays that we can place on paths, which again attract guests. And maybe even have them be customizable with custom images.

I hope we soon also get the barrier lints from Planco so we can use them around lamp posts and fountains and such so guests dont walk through them anymore and vista points which can be used for like botanical gardens so guests go there and watchthe plants. We been asking for these things sinch the launch and hope at some point makes it into Planet Zoo.

As for DLC, I still hope we get birds, would love to make an Aviary, and butterflies, would be awesome to make a butterfly garden, they have those at zoo's here in The Netherlands.

Always, when Frontier had released a free update, then a few weeks later the had confirmed a new DLC. I don't really know, at the moment everything only is speculation, but I'm sure there will come a new DLC (Spring?,Eastern?). I hope it will be something with birds or marine animals. But we will see. I asked myself why they had used the Japanese/Chinese theme to make the presentation? Am I right, then the benches and the fences seemed to be newones....:)
I thought that to myself too

Why? It's just the list you posted.

😂😂😂😂😂

Ignore that FoxyDee... don't give the monster cookies!

I'm so excited to see what all the people do with the screens. Maybe some ants an the floor or fishes in a pond, naked mole rats, or bees in her hive. 🤯
Didn't think about the one with the Bees. It would be awesome to have a Beehive with a Glass Panel at the Front so People can look inside. Does any real life Zoo have this?
Also planned on making a Formicarium with the Billboards (just hope it will be possible in a Way that the Ants aren't too oversized). For some Reason I didn't think about Naked Mole Rats. The Billboards would be perfect for them

When they announced the educational speakers, they also first showed it in front of pandas. Maybe the person in charge of these pictures just like pandas.
Huh, or maybe that was kind of a roadmap hint?
Didn't we get some screenshots were people were reminded of aquariums with the Australia pack? Hmmm....

Thanks for the great news Chante 💙 And again, thanks for all your hard work, you lovely folk of Team Frontier. This is going to give us so many more possibilities when building.

Just a couple of questions.

Will there be a guide on how best to save your images for the best results? In Planco, the images nearly always look bleached out and dull when you place them on a billboard. (the unlit ones especially, not so much with the TV screens). You seem to spend half your time tweaking and experimenting with manipulating the image so that it doesn't look completely different once it's been put on a billboard.

I always wanted templates for the Planco billboards too. Are the dimensions for the Planet Zoo TV and projection screens the same as the Planet coaster ones? If so, then that list on the first post is doubly useful.

Thanks again for the great news. I can't wait to see what else is coming.

I love butterfly gardens. Unfortunately the freeze a few weeks ago burned most of the plants at the zoo. But that'll mever happen in PZ (as of now)

Don't try to understand, you'll just get a headache. ;) There is nothing to understand.
Seems like that user is something else, lol.
Not to drag this back up for no reason, but based off of the post history plus join date, that account is definitely someone else on the forum who just uses that account to troll. Not sure why, but there ya go. I'm pretty sure there are few other accounts like this as well, but I won't name them. You could probably guess the ones I mean anyways.

Ok, I have been rarely active recently, but your announcement is like a gentle kiss on the sleeping frog ( yes I like to mix up tales)
One of my most wanted features from the early beginning....
Tears of joy are running over my face....

I'll admit, this isn't as big a deal to me as it is to others, but it's great to see some more progress and to see the wishes of so many players be granted. Personally I don't think I'll spend much time with the billboards - I'm certainly not a graphic designer by any measure and even if it is sanctioned by the devs I don't like going into the game's files for anything really. I might have missed this, but will there be a way to import images from within the game, or do we have to drop them into some hidden folder before we play?

Curious about what DLC will follow. Certainly does seem to hint towards Asia (between the imagery here and the sun bear leak a while back). It'll be interesting to see how they condense all of Asia's biodiversity into four animals.

@NZFanatic I agree I’m more then happy for the ability to make custom billboards but it’s honestly intimidating to me. I’m sure I could catch on but I really don’t see myself using them right away. Also seems to hint Asia to me too. Hopefully a gibbon is included but there’s a lot of other great animals also.

For those worried it involves too much difficulty I think if they implement it like planet coaster then you'll really have no difficulty. You just place the image in the game folder but nothing else and then in game it will appear on the drop down menu by whatever you've called it and you select it from the list just like you do with the ambient noises in the drop down menus. I didn't do much creating myself in PC but there were some really useful assets and I can totally see using them for signs especially as at the moment the text options in PZ are pretty big and limited fonts. There's some great font options on the workshop but they are piece heavy.

I also think the advertised destinations in a brilliant import from PC. I use it all the time in my parks to get guests to go to some of the less travelled areas or visit shops / rides that were otherwise less profitable. Should be great for tailouring how guests use our zoos and possibly even getting them to visit the right bit of a habitat to view - I'm hoping it is as flexible as PC.

I think everyone can benefit from this feature, not just people experienced in graphic designs. I use a bit of Photoshop in my job, but I will be downloading alot of already made pictures. I am sure there will be community members happy to share their art and designs with others, @Danny_zoo already expressed he is willing to share his educational pictures and I am sure many more will also do so. :)

Not all heroes wear capes. :D

So cool to see new stuff coming ahead! I didn't miss custom billboards as much (I don't think I'll have the patience to create them) but I can't wait to see the amazing creations in the community! What I find most interesting for my personal gaming experience is this: "You will also be able to set these assets up to 'advertise' a guest destination and increase the desire for a guest to go and visit it, so if you're proud of something in your zoo make sure to let your guests know!" I understand this as "vista points in disguise" :geek: If this came along with some tweaks and/or better insight into how the animal talks work, I think it would be a super powerful asset to manage and guide the visitors.

Even though I sadly didn't play much in the past months, whenever you announce something new, I get to think "well, let's just ditch your other hobbies and return to PZ"!
