Perhaps California nebula is the first war region where Miacke was,
Lots of theories about Miacke/Miackce here as well: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/question-miacke-thargoid-homesystem.383216/

Even if it was located in California Nebula, still odd that they would tolerate human expansion there, as it still has active barnacle sites, UAs were (supposedly) first present there, etc. But definitely hard to know what has been retconned and what hasn't.

And if the Turner Alliance faction were working with the Thargoids there, would make sense that The Club might intervene and enroll a bunch of pirates to try to shut that down.

Gamma was when we got access to the full galaxy. Before gamma, there were only a small region that was open.
Gamma was when I started playing, so nothing existed before then. Muh immersion! ;-)

Plus I think it was November 3300 which explains that weird gap in the Galnet mentioned earlier, I don't think they did any during Gamma?

Hey SergMx , would you be able to post the russian version of the toast , i would like to have a look at the potential translations. Might give a different perspective :D

P.S. Let me know please, I need to present this text to you typed by hand, not pictures from the game.

Dude, we (at least i) cant speak Russian. Can you please compare it to the English version? Are there any meaning differences, synonims, misuses? I dont think something could come out of different translations, but at least, safer than sorry.

And dont bother the dark wheel entry or the rest of raxxla, just tell us

"To the jewel that burns on the brow of the mother of galaxies! To the whisperer in witch-space, the siren of the deepest void! The parent's grief, the lover's woe, and the yearning of our vagabond hearts. To Raxxla!"
this part

I don't know English very well. mostly just technical, so I only compare this to the same translations.
I posted THIS here because I was asked to do so.

Except for the pearl, which is translated as a gemstone, everything else is accurate enough.
And there is a comma between the whisper and the siren, I just saw a phrase here that supposedly sirens yell from the void.

Here are some strange phenomena that I can't yet properly judge.
1. Four years ago I understand there were missions with the flirtation of finding the Thargoid base. For some reason it was called the Human - Thargoid. Here's the scanner data from it.
dvvM3rF.jpg
2. I did not quite understand everything there, but supposedly the base is destroyed and there is some kind of rift.
The Raxxla code says: omphalos rift. RIFT.

I see the Thargoids ...
3. An unknown Thargoid device shows the sky and the scanners show this:

4.
The patterns on the Thargoids' intercepts reminded me of Turing's patterns.

I don’t know if it’s the translation/ English language difficulties, but you seem to be under a misapprehension. You should read these links:

Hope that helps!

Thanks for the links. I have re-synthesized these articles again and I believe they do not suggest everything correctly. But even that doesn't really explain anything.

To the jewel that burns on the brow --> For the pearl in the crown.
It feels more like poor translation from english.
I can only repeat once again - analyzing translations we can probably learn about the personality of the translator (and I'm not joking), but no way anything "new" about the subject (except "false trails" that do lead nowhere).

Russian is native for me
oh, quite a few here, including me=).

So, I've completed my swing back through the rest of the Great Rift, route was basically:

  • Aquila Dark Region Nebula
  • B133 Nebula
  • B92 Nebula
  • Corona Australis Dark Region
  • Snake Nebula
  • Pipe Nebula, as "Bowl" and "Stem"
  • Scorpius Dark Region
  • Ophiuchus Dark Region
  • Ophiuchus Dark Region B
  • Ophiuchus Dark Region C
  • Rho Ophiuchi Nebula
Had done the other end ( Lupus, Lupus B, Coalsack Nebula, Coalsack Dark Region, Musca Dark Region) when I headed out, so have completed the circle via Seagull, Thors Helmet and the Orion Complex, sort of the long way around but I really wanted to find that emu. Didn't see anything unusual and no Thargoid presence whatsoever in the bullet list above, but did come across something interesting at least.

I added IC 4604 Nebula on at the end as it was close by, where I found this abandoned megaship (already discovered, here is the Cannonn write up on it) which has some interesting early Thargoid info, and the first appearance of the meta alloys (long ago). Wonder who Thunderchild/Unit 1 were - Mic Turner maybe? https://canonn.science/codex/gcs-sarasvati/

Edit: Hmm, can't be Turner, he wasn't born until 3205. Jameson?

On my way back to Felicity shortly to see if she'll loan me the keys to the door that isn't a door to the place that isn't a place when I sell my data.

Edit: I resisted the urge to find and map every Rift system identified in Simbad

Well, sold my data to Felicity, and guess what?

Nothing happened. But then I went to Shinrarta, as I had stopped at Ngurii to buy some more Soontill Relics, and thought I would sell them to the Pilots Federation, and guess what happened?
The Dark Wheel are happy and declared a public holiday in my honour! It is even in local Galnet! Well, it might not be in my honour. Or because I sold the relics. And they don't say why they have declared a holiday other than because they are happy. But that is what I am thinking. Use your imagination, right?

Well done! I suspect there is no need to honk every system in Simbad for the Great Rift, or at least there shouldn’t be a need! IFF this is the route to TDW membership then it ought to be a threshold value of scan data from those regions. Don’t forget HIP 84605 though!

Yes, we had a thread going a while back (2 years??) about Sarasvati, Galcop and a possible sister ship or two. The hypothesis was, if I remember correctly, that Thunderchild was an AI developed for anti-Thargoid ops/watch; whether that was the ship itself or something else is TBD. The logs imply there should be a library of useful info somewhere. Though war-bred AI is rather reminiscent of the Guardians!!
