I'm not sure how abandoned bases are being handled with the expac.

Given they are a rather obscure feature and Fdev's record when comes to things like this - they won't be handled at all.
...maybe that's a good thing, though. They could have tried to "improve them" in some capacity, inevitably breaking the one real use they currently have.

I'm pretty much ready for Odyssey, I think. I've got the carrier stocked up with Tritium, so I'll be free to travel.

I realized today that this will be the first time I've financed a travel expedition by doing combat! I wonder what I'll get up to after Odyssey arrives

It flys better than the T-9 but it's still a lumbersome beast. I've G3'd the thrusters to give it abit more response.
Not sure why I have this inability to hold on to a Krait though.

If the 'goids are nearby, you'll wish you had a load of guardian tech unlocked. Failing that, top rated dirty drags for evasive manoeuvres

Leave carrier. Goto station. Buy tritium. Fly back to carrier. Transfer all cargo to carrier. Rinse, Repeat. RSI.

There ought to be a better mechanism How about calling in a pumping tanker that deploys a huge umbilical that the FC can guzzle from?

Sure is. Open your carrier for all, set up a buy order at (let's not be greedy - 20% over station sell price?) and announce it in your carrier name and EDDN.

yet I'll flippin relog at jamesons for a week to get 4b credits I don't actually need??

on a side note, if anyone's taking a fleet carrier to colonia my alt would like a ride, he was a fedneck through n through, earnt a billion in his sidewinder but after the last CG he feels conflicted

I don't have passenger cabins so I took off before I was burned to a crisp. Celaeno still has Thargoids lurking though since a nearby rescue ship had kill missions available. Only one other CMDR was spotted. A fellow citizen of the Empire flying a Type-9 into the fire.

Obviously I will not be accepting any Thargoid missions.
