I needed to update Horizons. It said 5 minutes left 10 minutes ago but now it says launch. I wonder what will happen to my GTX760?

Game loaded, but couldn't connect. Now it looks frozen.. no, got a spinning ship.. still spinning... Connection Error.
I hope it's just their server.
Edit: 2 Taupe Cobra's and back to the main screen. I noticed Knez and Codger are both in Odessey. Jealous.

I tried to log in only once and it didn't work, so here's my sample of one.I was in for a bit, but now it's back and worse, won't go away. All ya'll need to log off so I can play dangit!

I was going to play Dangerous Discussions bingo drinking game but then I remembered I am on antibiotics and have to leave the Highland Park alone at the moment.
Patiently not being concerned about downloading Odyssey.
Backer with life time pass, aware that first day releases never work, will be disappointingly bugged, followed by weeks of patch fixes.
Just going to wait maybe a month for actual fixes and better optimising, really don’t see what the fuss is all about.

I have server status OK, green and go. Hasn't changed at all for me. Still locked out. Typical launch day for MMO's me thinks LOL.Servers went down for everyone I think. Release day is always like that though. Gotta spin up a large server farm, while everyone is trying to log in.
It will stabilize in a while, and then the actual bugs will start surfacing!

Yeah. The server status in the launcher is useless. It's always green no matter what disaster is unfolding inside the servers.
Ooh, they really did update the HUD. Neat.
I don't know if my graphics card can handle that level of realism. It may melt down. Now if that dang Taupe Cobra error would stop. I've no missions, I'm in deep space, and why is the adjudication server even trying to talk to my game right now? sheesh.
It needs to know whether you have missions active and which system you're in. Otherwise you might find yourself in a LITERAL void.
I can't even get back into Horizons to save my avatar.
I also dipped into Yamiks' and Exigeous's streams and they were back playing the tutorial. It's a widespread problem.
My settings where on ultra at first, with SMAA being the real killer at 2.0. I dipped down to high (plus SMAA on 1.0) to play the tutorial and there was survivable stutter. Then I noticed Exigeous had switched to low setting even with a 2080 card so I don't feel too bad. The game will obviously get some more optimisation so we can look forward to that.
2 Mauve Adder's. My second least favourite colour after Taupe. Now just got a Black Adder but it's not a funny one.

Well, the good side of not being able to get into the game is I am able to move more of my characters in eve back to home base. lol.
I'm having way too much fun tormenting everyone who has Odyssey. If anyone thinks I'm salty today, I'm actually not. I kinda find the whole thing funny. Now had I actually paid money for Odyssey, or worse, if Odyssey graphic "updates" were rolled back into Horizons, then I'd be pretty upset. But I still have $40 in my wallet and all my frame rates in Horizons, so I'm just enjoying the high surf today

Could you tell me your experience, I have the same graphics card - might not be enough for Odyssey though.
Well, it is No.1 on steam sales - there might be a lot more people trying to login than FDev expected and their servers just can't handle that many at a time. This is something they didn't have a chance to test before, typical issue which just appears in the live game.
