what do you mean offline mode? You have single player scenarios. You aren't going to get a persistent galaxy in offline mode. You would have to run your own server. you don't have 2000+ star systems downloaded onto your hard drive. If you want a true single player game with no need for internet access I would hate to imagine the size of the file you would need to download.

There's an off-line, single-player mode planned for release, in addition to the shared universe single-player on-line.

A quick peruse on Twitch and you will find that the ED internets have not melted and some are playing fine.

Still, whats a bit of hyperbole between forum members...

Maybe you should do some investigation before putting out your wisdom to the masses. There absolutely WILL be an offline solo mode.

This is ridiculous, been downloading the beta 3 for 2 days now on a 6Mbps line.

My route to the download servers is more direct than many from EU, it's 8 hops with download server 300ms away. After some research I found that Amazon does indeed limit some downloads based on IP range and route costs, Microsoft cloud does the same thing. It's amazing that people would suggest that my country infrastructure is at fault rather than consider that Amazon is at fault, everything that ends up on the sea cables is beyond my ISPs' reach and I can reach the destination with no problems.

I ask for Frontier to please make the patches available from a normal FTP server.

Carcharodon, that link is broken.

I would install Wireshark and have a look at the packets for any losses or retries, just to iron out issues with your connection or ISP.

Make sure to add exceptions to your firewall for edlauncher.exe, watchdog.exe and elitedangerous32.exe

If you already have those from the previous patch delete and re-add them. I had to do that with Bitdefender to get the game to run. It might solve Launcher issues.

Unexpected response from server: BadRequest

Good afternoon,

I have been trying to get my upgrade to Beta3 for the better part of a day. Each time I am trying to log in, I get: Unexpected response from server: BadRequest on the login page. Any ideas?
