Dump the medicine.

I read it as any amount will be sufficient (even 1T).

I've done enough soul-killing grind in ED, I will have not a drop more and I personally can't stand space trucking. I would rather run errands for my wife irl. No joke. Not even 1T.

I mean, are Thargoids hyperdicting, or spanking the humanz for transporting the Guardian laced tramadol?

No idea. I pay zero attention to "story" in ED. It never seems to amounts to anything. If it has, I never noticed. Colonia's establishment was right before my time, stuff like that is cool.

Salvation has not said that the Gauss cannons rely on his success, but otherwise I agree with you. But we have to hope there's a chance, because if there isn't and the whole thing is rigged to succeed no matter what players do - why are we here? We could just sit back and let the story autocomplete, through events like this and guaranteed Tier 1 wins in one-sided CGs. I hope that is not the case, for the sake of this story, and not the shinies.
Even in cases where CGs that drive the story are not one-sided, things that FDev have planned to happen will happen regardless of the outcome. Such events drive the narrative of how we get from A to B, not the destination itself. There are also allegedly consequences to not helping out - not getting a system permit and not getting a new shiny gauss cannon.

I am pretty sure there was a Viva La Dirt League video on this ... oh yes, here it is

As one of the major driving forces behind this, I wholeheartedly agree!
We need to stop the endless cycle of violence, aggression and escalation, while realising our own part in creating the so-called "Thargoid War".

Almost all of the actions that the Thargoids have taken have been easily matchable to an event that we did to them prior. Even their station attacks - look at how the damage models were created, they specifically have reactors and cargo pods torn open, implying the Thargoids were simply disabling them in order to retrieve their things that they believed were aboard. If the Thargoids wanted to outright destroy a station, then they could, but they haven't.
We've provoked the Thargoids in-narrative from day one, invaded their space, harvested their barnacles, and opposing voices who want anything other than outright total war have been completely blindsided, with the occasional appearance of a "conspiracy theorist" in GalNet plying the alternate view.

The pro-Thargoid community has had a tiny trickle of content for years now, with barely anything new in ages, simply staring, interacting with, and non-violently observing Thargoids.
I see this "CG" as a chance to show that we desire non-aggressive Thargoid content, and are willing to fight for it, moreso than disparate groups simply ganking or attacking those involved with AX activities. The lore is also left sufficiently ambiguous enough to mean that the counter-narrative is incredibly viable, and even more likely than the straightforward "Thargoid Menace" being pushed on us by GalNet and traditional avenues, lots of clues have been left for those with eyes to see.

We also know they can track commodities being destroyed, and it was even recognised in a previous CG many years ago, so let's see what we can do to actually blaze our own trail.
Good work! We really need a method to work with the thargoids and I applaud your method of disrupting without massacring the AX pilots.(y)

from a "lore/roleplay" standpoints it's an interesting reading

from a practical standpoint: wasting time and credits X getting a new experimental gauss cannon, come on

This is the problem with modern society. 5 minutes is 5 minutes, lol.
My suspicion is that it will only be available in the permit locked system where the first one will be delivered. I also suspect the unlock will be more of a hassle than "deliver 1t of cargo".
Also, this ^^

My friend is actually trying to get me into Gundams, although I'm more drawn towards the gun tanks, particularly the RC one ;)

The problem with modern society is people not wanting to spend their vidya time being bored?
No, I think his point was that if you paid attention, then you might realise is does all lead somewhere. And explains why the things you do matter or not in the big picture. If you don't care, fair enough. You can try to sit out the social experiment ;)

it will be war anyway no matter what we do , there's no alternative with the Thargoids , the guardians tried to communicate with them before and look what happened to them , maybe if there was another thargoid specie/clan/faction who might be intersted in talking, sure ,but with the one we're dealing with ? we gonna need those new AX weapons.

My assumption it will lead nowhere is predicated on nothing in the past having led to anything. Anyone who has paid attention, as you put it, knows that nothing FD does in ED ever leads to anything. I'd be thrilled to see it change, but your assertion that I "might realise is does all lead somewhere." is not at all based in reality.

It would be awesome if we had a Thargoid war with real consequences, for once. I'd suddenly be logging some hefty hours once again.

i think this is where we are heading , i also think we gonna fight the thargoids on foot in COL 70 , there were mentions of thargoid land troops in the game files in the Alpha phase.

My point was you earn something from 5 minutes of work. Only people who don't want to do that are slackers who think they should get everything for free.

I work full-time++ and provide well for my family. You are confusing vidya, which is meant for entertainment, and work ethics. I don't play vidya in order to work.
