Frontier, I have to ask again, do you even play the game?
Plasmas nerfed 30%
Efficient lasers do same damage as unengineered ones.
Rails do less damage.
Enforcers are too OP.

Plasma oversized still do infinite damage.

No release log mentiones these shadow fixes.

Are you trying to shoot yourself in the foot?
What are you trying to do?
Why have you destroyed engineering? Why have you nerfed so many weapons to the ground?
You want to have a dead game?
You want to loose players?
We can do that :)

Em...I play on linux...Latest nvidia driver, just updated tonight, proton experimental latest steam version, 2060 nvidia, cpu:
I wouldn't post much about bugs when using WINE/Linux.. I'm also on Linux and have some performance issues at times in Horizon, but not knowing if it's the game, WINE, dxvk, etc I don't post about them. FDev already have their hands full! :D

Arf explicitly saying a while ago their 'core code team' was working on the main optimizations, which would not be part of U7. Kinda implies a few things... :p
Now you just build up anticipation for the next update(not a patch) that will be done by the core team of coders (I guess they are better and know the their code better)
 
Does anyone else experience sudden freeze in settlement CZ for several (5-10) seconds? Could be related to teams (e.g. when your team mate is joining the instance). Everything freezes so that even Alt-Tab doesn't work and then after 10 seconds it goes back to normal. There were some also frame drops to single digit fps but nothing like that before. FPS counter doesn't update to low numbers neither before, nor after the freeze to show frame rate drop.

I've been getting these "all the time" since alpha, regardless of location. Quotes because it's usually when first logging in, disembarking, or some other time something needs to be "loaded".
 
Two more things:
The item wheel button is now a toggle rather than hold interaction.
The is most definitely not the case. There is no change in behaviour on the item wheel, which is still hold not toggle (and is fine that way, nobody needs their movement controls locked out in the middle of a fight by an accidental button press. Please don't make this change).

Also, there is still the weird graphic bug that was present in previous patches, where the planetary surface goes really low-res in a short distance around you after calling a Apex taxi. Objects like rocks etc. are fine, it's the actual surface itself. Trying to find a tracker issue for it but you know what it's like trying to find stuff on there...
 
I will try to be constructive, I love what Elite is / was / could be, I want it to be sucessfull and I WILL continue playing, but that being said this can only be considdered another botched update release.

From a business perspective Frontier's revenue from elite must now lie with ARX sales until any future paid content is released. If you believe steam player numbers as a guide (and other sources) , numbers have plumeted since EDO "released", every update since has seen a small increase followed by a sharper drop with a net loss each time. This will be affecting the ARX revenue streams, less players = less revenue = less development = vicious downward spiral. I personally will not comit to any further purchases of ARX or pre orders for Frontier games / seasons until a proper player / community alpha / beta testing and release cycle are introduced.

I ask any Fdev employee that can, and is willing to. To push for internal changes, improved quality contol, improved testing. Many boomers like me have way to much time on our hands and i'm sure, are willing to be part of something that would help, even if under NDA's.

Yes.
And i was in solo.

my experience here:

Landed at a random settlement, nearby. Got a nasty ugly deep stuttering right before touch down for about 10s ... almost like a freeze, i thought i will crash
And that happened on a freshly installed laptop running a GTX3080 paired with a Ryzen 9 5900HX
Afterwards it was nice and cool an i could massacre everyone in peace (lol)

I don't know of the best place to ask this so figured here:

There's been a change to the Efficient Weapon engineering modification, so that it no longer grants bonus damage. It feels pretty intentional to me, but I can't see it in the patch notes - is it meant to be intentional?
 
I guess you have no idea of how P2P works. This is not Star Citizen.
Well it is not only p2p it is a combination because the server is handling the matchmaking process so the more interactions players have with each other the more load there is on servers

That was my first experience of ground CZ with a team. More than half of times it was not possible to finish combat zone as it was showing 1-2 enemies still alive, while there were no enemies at all. Once it was starting the conflict over and over again without giving an option to evacuate. It seems so bugged.

@sallymorganmoore AA turrets are getting back to work short time after being "disabled" - is it "by design"?
 
Many many weapons stats got completely messed up. It wasn't in the patchnotes so hope to goodness not intentional. Sally already is aware and on it.. I imagine the whole team is at this point because it's a serious one (well a lot of these issue are I know) but it entirely changes thousands of hours of work.
