Filler packs betweeb major packs

If you could make smaller filler packs for 5$ between the major packs, what would you do?

Some format ideas:

  • 8 species exhibit packs
  • biodiversity packs (animals based on models already in the game with tweaks)
  • country packs with 2-3 animals
Perhaps more structural stuff as an option. A new theme or an expansion of a theme.

It could also work for things where it's a holiday pack. Say an October one with an African Serval (Including the Melanistic variety) and Black Widow Spider and include a few decorations such as jack-o-lanterns, grave stones (Marked with recently extinct species), a few clothes options for your avatar, some other spooky decor, perhaps even adding costume options for some of the staff.

For a November, perhaps a thanksgiving pack with similar things with the Wild Turkey and the Ocellated Turkey, and things based around the theme.

Country packs with 1-2 animals would be a dream come true for me. Also they could contain one plant. I always dreamed of huge library of animals where you can choose whatever is in your interest. I think that with country packs we’d be able to archive that. It would be a great chance for lesser known animals to flourish into the game.
I would be happiest if we’d ever receive that.

What they could do is make small packs with 2 habitat animals, one exhibit, a few plants and themed objects. I remember in the old ZT2 days, some designers made mini-packs like that for Cerrado, Pantanal, Everglades, Mediterranean etc.

These kind of packs could give us more small animals or animals from regions that would otherwise be neglected. Also, with this kind of packs you make sure that the animals from one DLC share the same natural habitat and it can get a place for popular animals that would otherwise fall outside of the bigger DLCs.

Examples could be:
  • Cerrado: Maned Wolf, Nine-banded Armadillo, Cuyaba dwarf frog.
  • Himalayas: Markhor, Golden Takin.
  • New Zealand: Kiwi, Kea, Tuatara.
  • Madagascar: Coquerel's Sifaka, Fossa, Leaf-tailed Gecko.
  • Sonora: Collared Peccary, Roadrunner, Desert Tortoise.
  • New Guinea: Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo, Victoria's Crowned Pigeon, Frilled Lizard.
  • Japan: Japanese Serow, Raccoon Dog, Japanese Giant Salamander.
  • Philippines: Visayan Warty Pig, Philippine Tarsier, Philippine Sailfin Lizard.

Maybe if there's some foliage, signage and possibly an enrichment item in there. Just the animals for that much, idk if I can get on board for that.
Depends on the region. We have a lot of African and North american desert plants which currently barely have animals to use with, so if we get an addax/peccary, it would be fine without new plants IMO. If we get, say, the asian small clawed otter and black macaque, without some new foliage to freshen up the limited asian-tropical selection, it would bother me much more.

I think even a 2 animal pack would be great, for $4 - or maybe 3 animals for $5 with one being an exhibit animal? Maybe one of the animals could be closer to a clone or reskin, the other could require a little bit more work - the animals included would not have to be related in any way, no real theme to the pack other than just including new animals.

I also like the idea of some building material packs for $5, and remove the building pieces from the larger DLC and make the larger DLC animal packs.

Yeah, I'd back this.

Mini-animal packs with like 3 or 4 animals. Could be like niche packs. Maybe even like animal family packs (the Canine Mini-Pack or the Primate Mini-Pack)

Foliage DLCs? Maybe with like 10 different plants...

Or, as some want, new scenery packs. Can expand existing DLCs

This is a great idea, assuming Frontier has the time to implement it. Given that they're a business and their sole purpose is to make money, I'm sure they would have already done something like this if they could, so we have to assume that they can't for whatever reason (lack of resources, either human, or time, most likely).

I agree with @Leaf Productions though, I think a lot of us would fork out for just about any kind of new content, certainly for new animals.

Heck, I'd pay for a foliage-only pack if one sprung up, or a pack with only new path textures, or one with only new statues or other scenery pieces.

Foliage and new pathing textures would be a harder sell for sure, but I agree, I'd buy it too. I've often had the game lie to me when I select a path and show a color palette ..I guess the game processes catching up to the different tabs..gets me thinking about how great it would be if we could recolor paths.

Oh no doubt they'd be a harder sell, but my point is that there's a market for almost anything, and there's certainly a corner of this community that would buy literally any new content.

Yup, I can imagine so long as I've got a little bit of money set aside for entertainment, I'd buy anything Frontier put out for this game, excluding an arachnid pack shivers

I will forever stan microtransaction animals! Lemme pay $2.99 for a Camel and an Oryx! Or a Capybara and a Maned Wolf! My pockets are always open for Frontier to reach in, lol
Isn't it funny, though? I hate microtransaction and all that new gaming nonsense in every other game, but with Planet Zoo: YES, give me expensive stand alone animals with maybe 1-2 signs in addition, as long as the animals are high quality and have good sounds. Like, the NA pack? Minus the alligator I would have paid 2-3 euros for each easily. Same would go for me with a Capybara and a Maned Wolf. Not for the dromedary, though, I don't get why one hump more is so important :D

I really hope the CMs read or regular cry for monthly animals and overpriced models ;) Maybe the upper level would finally take our money then.
