Newcomer / Intro My Return to ED ......

Does it have a lot of water ? My criteria for an ELW ?.
From the official wiki:

"An Earth-like World is a type of Terrestrial Planet that has an active water-based chemistry and indigenous carbon-water-based life. As the name indicates, the planet Earth in the Sol system is the standard by which all bodies of this type are compared."

I assume you're saying the Suicidewinder would be back in the bubble.
That is correct. And it feels like cheating to me too. I would rather make the experience feel real by having a plan that included achieving goals in Colonia and then flying back to the bubble knowing I will return to Colonia and the two ships left in storage in the future.

Yeah, I spent a fortune back in the day to assemble a fleet in Colonia. I wanted my Corvette out there, and didn't want to fly it there. I disbanded the Colonia fleet when I started using the carrier to carry my ships. Carriers do that. So that's the reason I have 2 Corvettes -- one used to be my Colonia Corvette :p

What?! I haven't noticed that. Why would they change it? Seems a bit random.
Don't know why. Think it was with Odyssey. Even they still refer to them as ELW's (see the recent tourist beacon competition), but go look in the system map and if you are looking for an Earth Like World you'll never find one. They've been rebranded! :)

Edit: Perhaps it's a scientific thing as Earth is the name of a planet, not a type of planet.

Hmm. Well I see in the Wiki that there is this definition of an ELW:

"Outdoor world with a human-breathable atmosphere and indigenous life. The atmosphere is far from chemical equilibrium as a result."

From that I would assume that ELWs are just one type of Outdoor world.

Maybe it was an unintended change and they haven't noticed yet :)

If only I could buy the spare second hand Corvette off you....
One careful owner, fill service history 🤣

I compared Horizons Galmap and Odyssey Galmap, and they both contain the Outdoor World description. But in Odyssey the words "Earth Like World" are nowhere to be found, whereas in Horizons they are in the pop-up window.

I think it's just an omission. They lost it when they removed the popups.
