Elite Dangerous Odyssey: Update 8.01 Notes

I do know some Spaniards who, while we were all living in Italy, drank such a concoction - but the wine they used was the €1 per litre cooking wine that one buys in a carton from Italian supermarkets. Almost undrinkable neat, so they added cola... Which meant each glass actually cost more than buying the perfectly drinkable €2 a bottle table wine...

Anyway, the only possible connection between that and elite is the slightly sticky nature of my Italian keyboard following an excessive throttle movement a few nights ago that resulted in a glass of French wine depositing its contents all over keyboard and screen... Would have been way worse if it had cola in it :p

Well... it's back in update 7, and still here in update 8. Here's the ticket.

Thanks.

Yesss sorry I do know about this and actually I should really use it in my known issues. Rest assured we are still aware, sorry about that o7

Sorry, I got majorly distracted in a fit of absolute hysterics over me and Ian Beale from this thread https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/sally-reveals-true-feelings-after-working-with-bruce.592289/
Back now.

It sounds very much like it, I've added this to the notes too.
The restricted areas now extend upwards/vertically. If there's a restricted area on the ground floor and you're directly above it on the second floor (or the roof), the notification will show up and inhabitants will react accordingly when they see you. For instance, this happens in the bigger PWR buildings (power regulator on the ground floor, atmospheric processing and a small room with two lockers on the first floor), IND buildings with a first floor corridor running over the underlaying science lab, et cetera.

  • Some odd behaviour with reactivation, massacre, restore missions not completing for Commanders.
I've not done all mission types yet, but I did notice that the top right HUD objectives for a Covert Heist (in this case stealing an industrial sample) did not get checked when I stole the sample and as such didn't tell me to leave the settlement. However, the mission information over at the Transactions tab did say the mission was complete and that I had the appropriate sample in my inventory. I was also also able to hand in the mission afterwards, so the HUD objectives for that type of mission might just be a cosmetic error.

Thanks Sally.
New bug found: on core mining the frozen temperatures are not "triggering" the ice effect on widescreen.
Sorry for my English.
Thank goodness. I've never understood how the inside of an asteroid could remain colder than its environment for millions of years.
Entropy rules.

Transportation missions in Odyssey are now 150 to 200 lys away i think this should be no more than 20 lys
hmm. Have to disagree, i've been waiting for longer range transport and courrier missions forever. Love it. In fact i've got one lined up after i complete an EDO mission. Over a million spacebucks for delivering 16 tons.

@sallymorganmoore
RE: Power Up/Restore missions. Not sure if it helps, but i completed one at Clarke Agricultural Something or Other in HR 1064 just before today's patch.
RE: station pop, again not sure if its useful info and from before this morning's patch, but the pop gets slower and stickier over time. Like first station pop this morning , Clark Terminal popped in all at once after a short delay, later it (and others visited along the way) seemed to take a little longer and pop in sections like Tail->Trunk->Ring->Head
