Fdev states scorpion is not available for consoles yet galnet news thinks otherwise

So fdev have stated that this new combat srv is not coming to consoles, but when i read galnet news it tells me i quote “the scorpian sRV is now available to purchase from military ecomany ports.”

So I went to Faceces and surprise, surprise no new srv.

I mean what fdev, what gives, talk about rubbing console players face’s in it, like tauting us with a ps5 that we know were never going to get because it’s just out of reach.

Galnet is always talking about the whole game. Shame that Consoles don't have the option - hopefully this will be flagged up to the writers and they can avoid future EDO specific galnets until it is available to all. Say 'No' Panther Clipper Galnets!

I just wish we had the option of keeping the console complaints confined to the console sections of the forum.
Maybe we should keep the Odyssey complaints to the PC section of the forum then?

Or just accept that the forum is for all players, regardless of platform?

It's 2021 and most multiplayer games are platform agnostic now. Platform tribalism should be consigned to the past.

It is a shame that the first new SRV for 7 years is locked behind DLC that large portions of the player-base cannot access.

Hi All :)

'Abbreviated'......

I outfitted a Python with 2 Scorpions & 2 Scarabs in Odyssey yesterday.
Landed on a planet to collect some raw materials in Horizons, and to test out whether / how the Scorpion shows up in the SRV deployment menu. The Scorpion is listed there in the hangar bay but it can't be accessed....so It might be usable in Horizons at some point....maybe, so I reckon it's (1) 33.3% chance it might be added at some point for free, (2) 33.3% chance it's obtainable in Horizons by purchase with ARX at some point, (3) 33% chance it just won't be available in the Horizons game.
As I said it shows up in the menu in Horizons so....which one will it be .....I plump for 1 or 2 ;).

Jack :)

Frontier would need to do some extra rendering work to make it available, presumably.

Not sure why they chose not to do that, when they know a third of thier player base are not able to play Odyssey, almost a year after the intended launch date. It doesn't seem a fair decision to have made.

Fdev like to stonewall console players whilst they keep adding new PC features. This is not merely getting the game in a playable state on PC, this is leaving console players in the dirt whilst continuing to develop. Highly disrespectful on Fdev's part in my opinion as console players have pumped money into their company too. Also eternally sick of the entitled attitudes of Some of the PC player base. This is by no means all PC players but some clearly do feel that playing on a PC makes them better gamers, more important and more worthy of attention, which is laughable tbh. An attitude which is prevalent in many other games too (see ms flight sim as a perfect example). Bottom line is all customers of Fdev deserve to be treated with equal respect regardless of the hardware they use to access the game. Come on Fdev lets see the same spirit of openness you claim to have brought into play for PC odyssey customers extend to the console players, who to date you have completely sidelined, disrespected and ignored.

Probably a good time to consider that companies are never your friend.

Very true...thats why people should call them out. I don't care if they like me but i do expect that they honor their promises and treat us as equals to the PC gamers.

Unfortunately, it doesn't work like that.

It will never work like that.

Speaking frankly here: If you never had an opportunity to exchange money for a product, you've not actually got any stake in it. This is the situation that console players find themselves in.

It sucks, but that is how the world works. We are never "owed" a video game.
