There was an announced update to do with networking + there is still a lot of other testing going on - these kind of issues at this stage in development should be expected.

I was testing something out and after setting a proxy server in Internet Explorer I got this error.

Possible solution : Disable proxy server settings in Internet Explorer.

IE --> Tools --> Internet Options --> Connections --> LAN Settings --> Uncheck the box for Proxy Server

Note, some applications set upa proxy server on your machine and direct your web browser through that. As does some malware. If your proxy server is either 'localhost' OR '127.0.0.1', then something has set this up for you. It might be harmless, ir might not. I can see how some security software would do the same thing, to intercept your web traffic and inspect it to ensure it's safe.

This happened well after the network release, and I repeat if this nonsense happens in live FDev will get eaten alive.

Yes this is beta, but it is late beta so all moans are relevant.

This late in the day such fundamental gameplay issues should have been sorted, aka a network/server disconnect must freeze all mission timers. Sorry guys but it's a 'no brainer'.

Unless you are from the future, your clock is wrong in that image. Set it manually to the right time, and then sync it with time.windows.com or any of the other ones.

Ah ok - but that image shows your machine time at 6:59, while you uploaded at 6:38 - and the time difference is only 1 hour.

Keep trying to sync time though - some are more responsive than others, I just did mine on time-b.nist.gov so it does work.

FD really needs to sort out server issues before release

Forums have been slow all day today, game has been laggy...in solo mode!, can't mine because it's taking forever during the "processing" stage (during which i can't pick up anything) and now it won't even do that!, now it's giving me an error "Refinery communication to server failed, fragment requires reallocation".

To be fair i don't know if that last one is a problem of today or of patch 3.04 because i haven't mined anything for the last two days but today has been impossible.

I really hope we get a completely offline version with a commander profile separate from the online side (to avoid exploits) because if this happens any time the game sees high load then come release it will be unplayable.

Well, i have a 50mbit connection and the rest of the internet is perfectly fine. I thought it might be a problem at my end but ED is the only thing giving me problems.

Cannot Connect to Server

Hopefully this is the right forum for a bug/issue.

About half the time, when I'm jumping between systems, I get cannot connect to server and I'm punted back to the menu. At which time I start play again, I'm in the target system and everything is fine.

I've checked my firewall and there has been no loss of connectivity. I guess this is more of an FYI and to see if anyone else is encountering this.

Me love you long time,
-LoSt

Exit the game, go to your Control Panel, go into Windows Firewall, click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall, Click Change Settings- find the entry for EliteDangerous32.exe. Click Remove and reboot your PC.

Once rebooted, go back into Firewall settings, click Allow another App - click Browse, navigate to C:\Users\%username%\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-100x and select EliteDangerous32.

Click Add. Click the box for Public. Click OK. Restart your PC and try Elite again.

Firewall looks good as I said. It appears to be a glitch.

Servers burping since 30 Minutes

Several connection problems, endless hyperjumps etc. We are 10+ people on TS spreaded all over europe, and face the same probs.

Dear Michael Brooks: Step off the Network-cable :)
