Flat Galaxy Society members have always had a love for exploration. The activity has always been part of the heart of the group, long before FGS's founding. With this in mind, I'm honored to introduce @Kaity#2912 and the rest of the Alliance Exploration Corps to FGS family! To facilitate our new explorers, and help nurture the career in ED we've gone ahead and created some explorer specific channels under Alliance Exploration Corps Category. We've also seeded the category with a couple of helpful channels that include infographics and guides for explorers! Check those out in #

AEC brings with them an exploration specific Squadron on PC. If you are an FGS member, and are interested exclusively in exploration, consider joining AEC's squadron as well. It will be lightly moderated in game, so applications may take a day or two to process in. Be sure to check out some info on #what-is-aec. Lastly, as mentioned previously, explorers can now get involved with the newly rebranded @Alliance Exploration Corps role.

Our little Alliance Democracy is not so little anymore. Last week Faction supporters for FGS won an election in HIP 41526 to gain control of the system. This is an awesome milestone for us as a group and for our faction. Very few groups have come so far, or done so much. To those of you who have been here since day one, congrats. We never envisioned building such a unique faction in Elite, but we've truly built something that stands out. Let's continue our efforts.

Our little faction isn't so little anymore. We've grown and consolidated considerably.
FGS now sits presently in 61 star systems, controlling 54 of them.
We've also grown our star port holdings to ~206 star ports. A rough estimate of our current settlement's is around 346. That's a lot of places to visit! We've also been making efforts to overhaul our Discord to be more user friendly while also relaying information on how to learn the game while staying involved with group acitivities like faction support, trade, mining, and exploration expeditions. All the while staying up to date on in game news and events.
