I've had no issues personally, also not seeing LOTS of posts mirroring your problem? Perhaps they said nothing as nothing is wrong on their end?

It's been playing all right for me (yesterday) and way better than all right (tonight)
At one point yesterday there was a power surge here that put the phones out for a few minutes. We get that kind of thing when the weather is as windy and wet as it was.
I'm hanging off Land's End. Where are you? All of the UK had a blustery one yesterday.

I am absolutely appalled to see literally no post what soever, here, on Twitter or otherwise from anyone at Frontier concerning the absolute crap server availability over the last 48 hours.

There were a LOT of posts in this forum as well as a lot of tweet attempts to get a response with *some* kind of explanation, maybe just a, "hey, by the way, the servers are down, we're working on it" - but nothing.

This is a sad way for a developer to handle things for it's community, and it seriously raises concerns with me about the "launch" date. If this is the type of communication we should expect going forward, I won't be recommending this game to others any time soon.

Before some "I've waited 30 years for this" veteran jumps down my throat for having my own opinion - save it. This isn't a post about the quality of the game. It's a post about general respect for your players. I've even seen terrible companies like EA have some type of response when servers are offline - this is a minimum expectation.

This will all be entirely fair criticism once the game is actually released and live. From that point, customers have a right to expect advance notification of scheduled downtime, and timely notification of unscheduled downtime.

[edit] Oh, crap, I just posted in Beta Discussion when I said I wouldn't. My integrity flies straight out the window. It does that a lot.

Nothing here dude, so no reason for them to report an issue. I've had the game run constantly for the past few day's without exiting, the ship just sits in the dock overnight.

Yea I saw a post on reddit. When I started having issues I ran a trace, the problems I was having were between me and the server. So I guess its just your bad luck to have a route that went through someone who was having a problem.

I wonder if there will be a live server status page we can check, eventually.

Oh and there has been a post... not directly stating server issues over the last day or so but 3.05 change log shows they are addressing server connection / dropping issues https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=57901

Been smooth sailing past couple of days. No problems getting in to play since latest 3.05 patch as well.

OP must be having networking issues in his part of the world, ISP, lines, modem, or whatever.

Dude, we got an update. The devs were probably getting that deployed and they might have taken the servers down. I don't know but Im not complaining. Some times we all need a little break. Being 'appalled', I think you are over reacting. Me, I thank the devs for the update. Things seem more smooth and entering / exiting hyperspace - SC feels much better..

Yesterday when I played I would get a server that it would not connect to, then after several minutes of waiting on the menu it would switch to a different server and connect. The working server's ip started with 54 and the other with like 174 or something. Maybe they are setting up a new server or something. Try and wait on the menu for a bit and see if you get connected.

The lack of official response from the game makers is just par for the course. Most game makers lose connection with their players very quickly doing exactly this.

It would take zero effort for them to say "Sorry my bad" or something.. even if they just say "we are working on it.." that would be something.. but instead we get the silent treatment which only serves to alienate the customers. Sorta says they don't care about us enough to tell us whats going on and that's a sad state.

"I'm getting really over the lack of communication from FD. This is getting beyond a joke now. Huge companies can manage to do their comms much better than this, what the heck are FD doing?>"

Probably fixing bugs... For all of US and YOU. Some times these little blackouts, though unexpected and without notice, are necessary to correct issues that may have come up behind the scenes that are unseen by US, the Users. And yes, I prefer cherry coolaid :) OH YEAAAAAA!!!

I had issues last night for about 20 minutes (was "unconnected" to the server and incurred a nice fat fine for being late for a mission), but it's worked flawlessly for me tonight.... minus the usual stuttering in SC of course.
