Newcomer / Intro What are you up to?

Yes I did that too, and yaw is more progressive but still too much or too little however much I play with the curve. Lateral and vertical thrusters don't seem to do enough to keep on target. I guess I just need to persevere more with joystick curves and practice.
You might need Joystick Gremlin, I can't fly anything without it now. The key is to get the movement very small around center for precise aiming. I doubt stock joystick softwares could provide custom curves like this one I'm using below:

Of course, it still need lots of practice to get the rails as deadly as it should.

Sorry to have to tell you this but ...
As the CG is likely to complete in the next 5 hours, you are probably going to get nearer 6 million as the rewards will go up again when that final tier is reached.

6 Million? This is the weirdest CG I've taken part in.

Remember when we used to suggest to newcomers to join-in with a token delivery at supply CGs so they could get a bit of seed capital. LOL

Doing the CG, needed to move the trit on for the good price. Not having much success doing grinds for money to support the FC.
Made 1.2 Bcrds. (edit: and Elite trade moved up to two)..Which only just paid off a new fat imp cutter kitted out as a 100+ passenger transport. May be it's re thinking time again.
Enjoying the range of options for fun that Ody has. They just need to make more crds for me.... :coffee:

Yes, the credits you can earn in Oddy don't align with other stuff. It's a little inconsistent. If FDev are letting everyone earn billions in no time, then Oddy mission rewards need to be higher.

Ody is not the game, it's just a DLC
And there are plenty of Gold Mines opportunities in Elite.

Any advice on purchasing an FC?
Do they Empire and Federation sell different kinds?
Which is better?

I wasn't expecting this for a couple of years, lol!
There is only one type of carrier although you can buy kits to make them look different.

I've decided to G$ (and maybe G5) my Artemis Suit, just for the fun factor. So... I'm now back to my kleptomaniacal tricks for power regulators. MI's... MI's... le sigh.

Nothing special that i could think of, just buy one if you want one. Services' upkeep cost is the main limit, fully serviced carrier wants 35m per week (2b per year). You can play with the costs with the calculator below and figure which services you want/ready to pay for.

Otherwise it's a great asset that lets you keep your whole fleet/modules/shinies at hand at any moment. Like one of those mobile homes, but without the hassle of driving one, no, you get to drive your favourite car, and the home is driven by your servants wherever you point them to. Has costs, annoys others if parked in a popular system for a long time, those are main drawbacks.
I just tried to jump my carrier again and now there "are no time slots". Mon Dieu.
I have a feeling that this CG involved a really huge number of carriers. Hauling the ol' good way may be faster, but the hassle of cheking stations and stocks... And you could just park some 300 ly away, if lucky then 10 mm from the station, and load quietly. And then back again somewhere within 1 jump from CG. So they're all jumping now.

Only differences between fleet carriers are cosmetic if you spend ARX and what you spend credits on to add modules to them. It doesn't matter where you buy it - any system with a fleet carrier vendor will do.

Originally there was a difference - you would see a logo showing either Empire or whatever under a floodlight near where the nameplate is.

BTW - ARXing your FC requires 27900 arxes (that is more than the £12.99 pack of 25500) - that for the "layout", a replacement for the unintelligible default ATC, a paint job and coloured engine and pad holos.

I can only clearly understand Madeline and Blane - the rest are rubbish.
