Grade 4G4?? What's G4???
I made just over 6B from the CG and bought an FC, moved my ships over, bought a Mamba (? don't know why) and set course on my first FC jump. It said 1 hour 42 minutes til the jump, so I went to bed. Will it be there when I log in?
Can you set a several thousand LY jump and leave it?

I think it took about 5 months of doing the right CGs and other credit making activities to afford mine - which I bought only a couple of weeks before this CG. Wish they had done it months earlier or made the Colonia Bridge CGs as generous.
One max 500ly jump at a time - under normal circumstances. It will be at the destination when you log back in. I'm doing lots of short jumps and often (and also a few minutes ago) set a jump and then log off.
There are 3rd party tools that automate many jumps which I might try out sometime.
Tritium is unusually expensive right now. I will have to wait a while before replenishing my stock.
Withe the extended jump times (over 15 minutes) I've found that I can cancel the jump, and in a minute or two set the same jump and it starts at the normal 15 minutes.
Just pulling your leg. I don't have any thing above G3 and I haven't upgraded/engineered anything.

I did manage to buy a G3 maverick suit which I think just means stronger shields and armour than standard. Haven't used it yet. For some reason blowing stuff up with a Corvette is way more entertaining

I'm more selective on black box missions because time is of the essence.
I may have also gotten confused. I thought I recalled you talking about more experienced later in the game stuff.
I didn't think I did a lot with the CG but it seems I might have ...
I already had a "squadron FC" (its own separate account) so...
I started off by deciding to work for a FC for my original account (it doesn't get much love since coming back from DW2). So having bought that and worked it a FC balance of about 5 billion I saw the progress bar had not gone much over tier 2 - madness set in and I decided to give Para Handy (a different account) his own personal fleet carrier. Thus two fleet carriers bought, each with their own pocket money of 5 billion and still the CG wouldn't finish... Well you are not doing a trade CG properly if you are not hauling a load in supercruise as the final tier is breached so my squadron FC has ended up with a balance that would put a G20 country GDP to shame...
If I had not decided to watch some movies on Friday and Saturday I think I might have been embarrassed - two accounts in the top 10% is bad enough, three would have been...
Hey. I been playing since last february, in a vaguely bounded s-curve shape amount of time, mostly trade and exploration. I discovered that I should actually load Horizons instead of regular a few months ago, and bought Odyssey about six weeks ago. Oh, yeah and don't try to sell me any bad exoculinary data cause I can tell a frutexa from a tussock at 200 yards, even when it's been fried. Or something.
I also have 2 holo-mes so. Easy to get confused!!! ha ha yeah

If I fill up my Tritium depot with 1000T, but want extra in reserve for a long journey, do I have to sell it and buy it back from me?
If I use the Inventory Transfer, do I get paid the price I set?
Lastly, if so, should I get the Sell price (FC Buy price) ridiculously low and the Buy Price (FC Sell Price) stupendously high?

OK, transfer moves the cargo without a transaction. I think I've worked that out. Apologies.

Buying price and selling price fiddling is how you feed credits to a friend - much quicker than in ye olde dayes of dropping cannisters of palladium for them to scoop.
Just a tip — don’t mess with buy/sell price unless you understand exactly how it works. You don’t want anyone buying your tritium out from under you!
I thought you had to have it set as a tradeable commodity to be able to transfer. I read through The FC FAQ and gained some insight.
Loaded her up with ~8KT of Tritium and thinking of heading off to Eta Carinae.
