Both Asps, T7, T9 and T10 share an almost identical cockpit however it was claimed the T9 had the best view if only because it doesn’t have the interrogation lights built into the frame of the cockpit.I still have my Asp. Without doubt the best view in the game.
I find the Phantom extremely easy just come in and line up from the back and stop just as you hit the front landing leg.But the Anaconda has so much more range. I have it and the Krait Phantom nearly maxed out. Thing about the Anaconda nobody talks about that I like the best: It is SO easy to get in and out in the RV. Far more easy than any other ship. It's nearly automatic on the Anaconda, where on other ships it takes me forever fudging back and forth and side to side to get in the right position to board the ship.
I just zoom under and watch for the boarding light to come on, then hit the handbrake. It doesn’t matter what angle I’m at, when I hit board it automatically straightens itself.I still have my Asp. That's exactly what I do, I've "Lined Up" pointing forwards, backwards and sideways, as soon as the board light comes on, I punch the hand brake and back the throttle off (I use auto-throttle control with Xbox controller). It's cool when I line up sideways, the SRV spins 90° real fast before the wheels fold up.I just zoom under and watch for the boarding light to come on, then hit the handbrake.
On the HUD, right side. It makes looking up unnecessary.OK. Here's where I admit my ignorance:
Where is this boarding light of which you two speak?
At any rate, I just pull up pretty much anywhere under the Anaconda and I'm in.

Sidewinder does have a better cockpit view than Adder. It's been a long time since I was in a Hauler, but I have a soft spot for it despite its issues.Sidewinder is the answer if you don't like the cookpit. Indeed both Adder and Hauler's views seem to be too obstructed. Ofc internals are limited and you got to make sacrifices if you want to explore properly in a Sidewinder, but, if it's carrier based exploration, that's fine, you only need a DSS and a little fuel scoop. And the smallest footprint makes landings anywhere an easy matter, nice for salad hunting (i don't even look at the ground sometimes, just go to a random spot, and often it's ok). Was spotting bacteria from 50 or so meters altitude the other day too. Opens a debate though, ok i'm exploring in an Asp now what, if a find a planet with a lot of bio, i need to go back to carrier for a Sidewinder? But very nice tool anyway to have. I find an additional fuel tank is good to be added, main tank is drained too fast.

The only problem I ever have is if the ship is low to the ground and there’s a rock in the way, but that’s a rare occurrence.
Yes this. I had to dismiss my Odyssey ground operations Cobra in Colonia 5 times on one occasion before I convinced it to land somewhere that didn't put a hillock under it making it impossible to drive the SRV under it to re-board. It just kept going back to rough ground to land. But I found (even teensy) rocks in the way particularly common with a Cobra! A couple of times I naively wandered out then had to get back in under pressure, trying to squeeze through the right way! That was a bit of a Cobra quirk. And it has those sort of side supports hanging down too you can almost never get in from the side it seems. I have to write to Falcon DeLacy
Back when they first appeared, I did go out and fight a few scouts. I got a few kills, but I found it oddly disgusting. They scream when they die, and it just feels a lot like squishing small animals or something. I've never gone back to fight them since thenFirst encounter with Thargoids. Killed three small ones, got into it with a large one and he blacked out the power.
K.
Also, friendly fighters have a nasty habit of pulling right in front of me as I fire the Gauss cannons. So one bounty later, I'm heading back to get back at it. Think I'll avoid the big ones. They seem salty.
Nor do I.I still don't understand why I can't fit a 1E decontamination limpet controller in a 2 slot. Or 3 slot or 1 slot for that matter.
I've never cared for "boss" fights either and some of vids I've seen where a player takes on one of the big boys... well, the time it takes alone puts me right off.I've watched videos of players fighting the bigger thargoids. They are bit more robust. I guess I don't care enough to want to learn all the sequences. Kinda reminds me of boss fights, which I hate.
Yes, I'm kinda weird![]()
To be fair, I did have this issue once with the DBX when landing behind Jameson's Crashed Cobra. I'd imagine you are familiar with the ground conditions there....
Jameson's Crashed Cobra is the number one spot in the galaxy for collecting encoded materials. You datalink scan the four red flashing comms beacons behind the Cobra and get some grade 4 and 5 encoded materials, and then relog and repeat until storage full. Then visit Ray Gateway in Diaguandri for the nearest Encoded Materials Trader to trade what you collected for something useful like Data Mined Wake Exceptions.Nope but I just went down there I see I solved the mystery, why Jameson had crashed, in such a flat area and with so much paint job left. Maybe he bumped that rock.

I will find a more challenging landing spot and inspect some of these geysers later. There sure are a lot of carriers in system. Hello from HIP 12099 1 B

I have yet to encounter a Thargoid. I stopped playing just before they were introduced, around the time of the first UA discoveries and since rejoining, haven't been interdicted. I agree about the 'Boss' fight thing. Not my cup of tea either.Back when they first appeared, I did go out and fight a few scouts. I got a few kills, but I found it oddly disgusting.
