Your experience isn'r representative of the entire playerbase. Maybe it's your laptop because I haven't had a need to log into Horizons since the Odyssey DLC was released.
I guess, my questions -
1 - I know several commanders personally who have odyssey and still cannot play it - their systems either do not match the minimum requirements or do not achieve servicable performance for them regardless.
Will there be a 3.8 version still accessible to them, in much the way as we can still choose to play Non-Horizons elite from the launcher?

2 - As far as multicrew in the same version - i guess this is an extension of whether we can instance together in general, but does this refer to both commanders must have odyssey, or both commanders must be in 4.0? Could a Horizons commander play taxi for a ground-walker (barring atmo planets of course) and collaborate that way?

Does this mean we're all gonna be forced to have the performance of Odyssey? I own Odyssey but I only play in Horizons because I'm a VR player. Even on a pretty decent computer, the performance of Odyssey in VR is unacceptable. Plus, the flattened planets aren't fun to fly around. Horizons is better in any meaningful way in my opinion.
Buying Odyssey was a pretty big regret, and I much prefer staying in Horizons. Is this going to be essentially impossible to do now? I assume so, and that we'll not have the landscapes and performance of Horizons anymore.
I understand if you don't bring future updates/fixes to Horizons, but hopefully we can still access it without being forced to deal with the changes of Odyssey.

Just curious, When was the last that you played Odyssey? They improved it since launch.
However, getting a 'Guardian ship launched fighter' is a pain because when I shoot the pylons they don't register if you don't get it first try, but you can re-log.
What kind of hardware are they using? I heard that Ody performs worse on better hardware (as weird as that sounds). For me, I play Ody without problems or performance issues (apart from the odd frame drop when arriving at a station). Granted, I only have a 1080p 60Hz monitor, but using High and Very High details, I still get anywhere between 50-60 FPS on my old AMD FX9590 and Vega56 GPU. From what I've read, high end Nvida and AMD GPUs seem to have performance issues with Ody, but lower end stuff doesn't.

- Can we expect seeing on-foot community goals in the coming future?
- Will FPS be expanded on to be included in community goals?
- Will we see a more unified experience between Ho and Od players?
- Can both an Odyssey player and Horizons player be inside the same Scorpion SRV at the same time and if the Odyssey player is driver and exits the SRV is the Horizons player stuck as passenger or do they become the driver?
- Will Odyssey suit assets be available to Horizon players?
- If a Horizon player wings up with an Odyssey player, can the Odyssey player access their ship from a station lift?

You can do the exact VR stuff you could do in Horizons, if you play VR you know the importance of improving your rig. Games have to evolve, if you're not willing to evolve with it then maybe it's time to move onto something else.

The other week to check performance, it's simply much better in Horizons. I didn't test out a bunch of planets recently but I don't think they've made any upgrades there as far as the visuals go. I get great frame rates in Horizons and it's very wonky in Odyssey. Acceptable enough for flatscreen gaming, I'm sure, especially at 1080p, but pretty bad for VR. And the visual changes in Odyssey don't make up for that hit, even if just counting the changes that are deemed to be improvements and not the changes that're a bummer.Just curious, When was the last that you played Odyssey? Hahaha, I have basically as good of a PC as you can have before the 4000 series come out. The problem ain't my computer, it's pretty decent. Saying "go play something else" is embarrassingly defensive. It's okay if I don't like Odyssey as much as you, I'm glad if you have fun with it.
question, will the update be dedicated to the merging of horizons and Odyssey, as well as corrections? will the content be new? or will the announcement of the content be later? and then there were so many hopes for a new update.
I found it much easier (and satisfying) to shoot the pylons with the Executioner - 2 shots and they are fully charged - easy enough to go around the whole site on-foot and fire them up, rather than using the SRV.
