Was it Commander B from B?How does this work again? Frontier haven't yet released the 4.0 Horizons client, but I recall someone saying a while back that they'd still managed to do it.

I asked for a screen grab...Just saying, we should be careful about drawing conclusions about what this modded 4.0 Horizons client can/can't do before it's official.
I don't think that the possibility of not being able to use their Guardian modules people grinded off their aft parts for is something that can convince them to buy OdysseyAnyone hesitant about it, be it due to performance or planet tech or anything like that, will be much more likely not to buy Odyssey yet to test the updated client with 4.0 first.
But they can use them, just not in HIP 22460...I don't think that the possibility of not being able to use their Guardian modules people grinded off their aft parts for is something that can convince them to buy Odyssey![]()
Yes, I'm afraid this is the cut off point. From this point going forward 3.8 Horizons, xbox and PS4 versions will only get Galnet news, some CGs and any critical updates to make sure the game can still run.Coincidentally (or deliberately) I think this now sends quite a strong message that Horizons 3.8/Console really is on maintenance mode support and is rapidly going to fall behind in terms of story and content. That shouldn't come as a surprise, it's just a bit saddening is all.
So I guess that's it then.
Horizons 3.8 (for as long as it remains accessible) is a nice playground for those that prefer the old style planet tech, for canyon hooning and for being able to access old race tracks such as the Pomeche ridge or who fancy climbing big mountains like Neverest, but if you want to engage with and experience new stuff and ongoing story content, it's really now the time to let go (swallow the visual downgrades, as well as enjoy the numerous visual upgrades) and switch over (and I guess the forethcoming 4.0 client will allow those who haven't paid for the Odyssey dlc to do that as well).
She can't be the only CM on the payroll.I'm not surprised.
Maybe Sally is having a day off?
I thought it was 3 as you so rightly correct me yesterday!Yep, it wiped out progression for two entire platforms.
I would certainly hope so but the others have been AWOL for monthsShe can't be the only CM on the payroll.
The only one who takes the time to talk. Check out how frequently the others visit here...She can't be the only CM on the payroll.
No, the Mac was years ago, but the resentment remains fresh.I thought it was 3 as you so rightly correct me yesterday!
PS/XBOX/MAC
Probably why the term "PC Master Race" exists...Yes, keep screwing the consoles, keep mocking the console players
Do you want hug?Yes, keep screwing the consoles, keep mocking the console players
I absolutely HATED the thought of having to use a new Galaxy and System Map UI. But I'm finding it a lot more useful than the old one, bar a few glitches where it "forgets" settings. As to outfitting that's no better or worse really, just a different layout. Still wish we could group loadouts into sets that could be installed together, and the locations around the galaxy of multiple items aren't easy to see at a glance.Yes, I'm afraid this is the cut off point. If you haven't got Odyssey then the only way to get the narrative going forward is with the 4.0 client. I know it some people hate the Odyssey planetary tech but I've found that has improved immensely from release (they do still need to look at some anti-aliasing issues) and it takes a little while to get your head round the UI with Outfitting, the Galaxy map and the system map but it is worth the pain.

This comment / reply is literally everywhere people are talking about this update, every few minutes. It's one indication of how incoherent this update is from both a narrative and gameplay perspective. It just doesn't make sense. But they can use them, just not in HIP 22460...
