Why?

...............you can have 2 now with a FC purchase on the new account and keep the console FC anyways!

And, if you don't have enough credits - try with a week of mining Osmium for this new CG (and Plat BTW at 280KCr/Ton), should get you 40M per hour minimum, up to about 80M per hour tops, easily.

Because I’m never going back to my Xbox account if consoles aren’t getting any more content or story updates and I’m certainly NOT spending a week mining ever again 😂

I’m a Combat Pilot not a Miner/Trader.

One question that I never thought to ask was:
I created a squadron on PC that now has 49 members, but I plan on replacing my PC account with my console account, as in overwriting it. How will this affect the squadron? Will my new save that has the same CMDR name just replace me as squad leader, or will the save over erase my squad? I'm going ahead with the transfer regardless, but I wanted to give my squad a heads up if something major happens.

Is there someone on PC you could transfer Squadron leadership to who could transfer it back to your 'new' PC Cmdr once it's set up?

Your existing PC Cmdr will effectively reset their save. If you do that & you are the only member of a Squad the Squad is disbanded. If someone else is in the squad leader will transfer to them. I don't know the rules on who it transfers to if there is more than one other member but that won't matter if you 'give' it to someone else manually. In that respect the 'owner' is all members AFAIK.

You don't need to buy a PC account, one will be provided FOC for existing console accounts (only one though).

I've got Odyssey on both PC and console. AND have CMNDR accounts on both. In order for me to transfer my console CMDR profile to my PC account, I'll need to first delete my save game. OK check. So far so good. Now the question is what items will be merged. According to OA at 02:22 here in this video

It seems cosmetics, paint jobs and everything else that you bought can be merged. So my questions for clarification are

What counts as cosmetics? Besides avatar facial tattoos, bobbleheads and other personalized vanity ship/CMNDR items, do armor/clothing also count?

Basically what does "everything else" mean?

Will the merging with everything else from the PC account include credits? Ship modules? Existing weapons/armor Cmndr currently has?

If not and these won't be merged, then the easiest way to launder them is to sell everything. Then use these credits and whatever remaining Arx I've got to buy cosmetics/paint jobs ie items which WILL be merged with the console account. Right?

Cosmetics is anything bought with Arx or their predecessors, Arx cannot be transferred the recommendations I have seen since the original announcement about console transfers is buy cosmetics you want with the Arx associated with your console account before the transfer happens.

So basically EVERY THING in the store is a cosmetic item the? And our PC end ship modules will also be merged? Or they'll require liquidation to credits so these credits can be merged with console?

here is a minor concern as i didnt see it mentioned in the OP,will we keep our bookmarks in the galmap?if not i can just screenshot the galmap with them up.

I'm confused about your question, you say you have Odyssey on PC and console? You mean Horizons? Also you mention armour your commander has, your console commander should only have clothing not armour?

If you have EDO on pc with your commander having armour rifles etc, I'm not sure you want to be intending to overwrite that commander?
