Map of the entire roster by (approximate) animal distribution

Europe is getting full rn! All we’re missing there is the boar and of course the Wolverine #gulogulogourmets !!!
White stork, please.
And the Capercallie ;)

@yoav_r @nutrit I think the common wombat and platypus should swap places because the two species share temperate ranges in both the mainland and Tasmania, but the platypus also ranges further north into the tropics.
Agree with this - the platypus is also placed at the very western border of its range (where it is now quite rare), while the common wombat is in the northern portion of its range where it only occupies cooler mountainous areas.

Europe is definitely getting representation now. As others mentioned, the Wolverine, the Wild Boar, and a few habitat-applicable birds (swans and storks) and it'd be great. Eurasian River Otter and Eurasian Brown Bear for other potential candidates (I realize the EBB would have a divided reception) as well as the Iberian Lynx and Mouflon. Do I think we'll get all those - no. But hopefully the Wolverine at very least, and at least a habitat bird or two. We need more piggies though and while I'd love to see the Wild Boar in, the RRH definitely takes priority over it.

I honestly hard disagree on that.
While pretty, the red river hog adds by far the least to the game compared to the wild boar, a peccary and a domestic breed.
All three are from a way less represented area, have new unique biomes and are substancifly differemt to the two pigs in the game.
I like the red river hog, but when both of our pigs are tropical and one from africa, the european temperate and taiga and the american desert, tropical and grassland are way more important and unique compared to the red river hog, which has aesthetics as its only winning factor

They don't compete at all in my mind. The red river hog is so distinct in looks from all the other pigs it kinda stands on its own, plus it is essential for tropical africa.

I think all 3 piggies left are kinda necessary for realism of their corner of the world.

Heresy 🤯😜🙂

Really cool, but the eastern red deer is a bit far east on the map with duplicates.
Its pretty much the eastern border of the population, so putting a third marker somewhere in the caucasus propspply makes more sense from a density point of view while remaining in eastern europe/western asia.
That way they would be present on the map both on the population borders and in the center with the highest density.
+ i doubt that it would take away much space, afterall the only other animals from the caucasus im hopefull for are the western capercaillie and the wisent, who have their largest wild population there
