Lots of people are posting weird, exotic, faraway locations. Not many people are posting "logical" locations. I believe the three Superpower capital systems (Sol, Achenar, Alioth) have been mentioned and should be included. There should, perhaps more specifically, be plenty of "tourist missions" wishing to go from one superpower capital to another.

The other "elephant in the room" in regards to Tourist missions are, of course, the large number of Tourism planets in ED. I don't know if ED are planning to incorporate them into the mission generator, but they should consider it. These worlds are somewhat considered backwaters by players as things stand now, because they're dead-ends in regards to trade (unless you like filling your hold with biowaste) and logically there should be missions throughout the galaxy going to these Tourism planets, and plenty of missions at those planets from tourists using the Tourism planet as a hub seeking a return trip to other exotic locations, or from tourists wanting to book passage home again. I, for one, will be rather disappointed if they don't link tourist missions with Tourism planets in this way. I'd certainly foresee a lot of newbie "I went to a Tourism planet for tourist missions and there aren't any there" posts on the forums if they don't.

Most of these "tourism planets" don't "look cool". In fact, most of them are Water Worlds, not Earth-likes, so these "tourists" seem to be xenobiologists, or water/ice sports enthusiasts.

There are hundreds of "Tourism"-tagged systems in the galaxy, meaning it should be relatively easy to find one near you. Just set your galaxy map colour mode to "economy" and filter out everything except Tourism. A full list of Tourism planets would be difficult to compile but would include the following systems:
Beditjari
Dimoco
Clayakarma
G 203-47
HR 7451
HR 7925
Ngardinja
Obambivas
Wat Yu

There are still some Galaxy Map glitches with regard to Service and Tourism planets. The following systems are listed as Tourism planets on the galaxy map but have no actual Tourism destinations on the System map; I don't know if that's a bug or some as-yet-hidden "future content" (eg. surface starports on Earth-like planets) that is triggering it. These systems contain Earth-like worlds, but all are pure Agri worlds according to the system map info.

Bit of a Long Range trip... but well worth it.
Start with a visit to NGC 6231 which boasts one of the several super giants, V947 Scorpii C < http://i.imgur.com/En5MJoP.png >, as well as a host of Black Holes and other large stars.
.
Followed by a visit to the area around Cat's Paw Nebula... a very unique Nebula to see, to say the least.
The planets in the Cat's Paw Sector CL-Y E4 system provide astounding views: http://i.imgur.com/MwzovCk.jpg , http://i.imgur.com/P5adZTC.png

Location: Eta Carinae (Binary Stars System)
Hypergiant Luminous Blue Variable. One of the biggest star in the galaxy. 5 million times brighter than the Sun. 13 000sl between Eta and the planet.

System: Thule
Planet: Frogspawn

Frogspawn, 'the Jewel of Thule'. The beautiful emerald glow of its fabulous fetid swamps and scum-lined pools lure you in for a holiday you'll never forget.
Visit the gift shop at Short Hop station before you leave to pick up some of its famous Biowaste; an aromatic reminder of your stay.
And remember, we don't just sell Biowaste.... we have Hydrogen too!

I nominate... 'Tear' :)

Kn3cjyP.jpg

The planets of the Wregoe NK-E D12-22 system are mostly unremarkable, with one notable exception: Wregoe NK-E D12-22 B 4, also known as 'Tear'. This natural 'Earth-Like' world orbiting the system's second star lives up to the term - the planet's atmospheric composition and temperature are strikingly similar to Earth's, although the planet's natural flora and fauna are still in their initial evolutionary phases due to Tear's young age. To address this, Virgil Kyle, Tear's discoverer, is currently leading an effort to introduce more advanced life to the planet to help facilitate future colonization.

In addition to the planet's pleasant weather, the night sky affords a stunning view of the Milky Way Galaxy, as the system is located high above the galactic plane.

Here's a pic of the planet's stats in case anyone doubts its... 'Earthiness', hehe :p

Location - inside the bubble (barely) - HIP 109167 CD 1

One of the last remaining untouched Earthlike worlds in the bubble!

(Thus a destination for eco-tourists. "Explore" a fabled unspoiled paradise of old without the danger or inconvenience of venturing into uncharted space! Exotic twin suns, human breathable atmosphere, and indigenous life, all unsullied by human exploitation. Tensions exists between those who wish to keep the planet protected as an unspoiled preserve, and those who wish to settle a "frontier" world without the hardship of living too far from access to the fruits of technological civilization.)

Location - inside the bubble - Luyten 205-128, sun's A-belt with nearby permanent wreckage site

"The Sargasso Sea of Space" they call it - a Lagrange point full of ghost ships and wreckage, famous for collecting the bodies of the lost. Like the Bermuda Triangle of old Earth, some say that any ship that dares to pass through will never leave. (With the amount of drifting wreckage posing a shipping hazard, they're not always wrong!)

Some tourists are drawn by the thrill of the spooky and mysterious, some are searching for signs of ships that disappeared with loved ones aboard, some are hoping to find antiques or treasure from shipwrecks of yesteryear, some just want to be able to boast that they've been there... and come back.

This system contains the only two Class-O stars "in" the bubble.
