Come and visit Vesper-M4!

Home of the Vesperian Honey, The Hammers of Slough, birth location of many silly games like the Galaxy wide famous Sidewinder Demolition derbies hosted by CMDR Angel Rose.

Vesper-M4 and Slough and Slough Orbital are also well known from being the key locations of the novel Elite Dangerous Mostly Harmless by author Kate Russell who has told us that Vesper M4 was perfect for tourism when she was there interviewing CMDR Angel Rose.

On that occasion the Vesper-M4 Tourist Board has been founded and ordered to do a survey of all the planets in the system.
They have published the Vesper-M4 Tourist Guide for all those that want to experience the sights and sounds of Vesper-M4.

Come by and spend your credits, we can guarantee you will not be in any real danger, mostly.

The Vesper-M4 Tourist Board president,
CMDR Bonkil Oakenbow.

•The approach to Andoyer Station in Gongalungul. Planets 1 2 and 3 are almost in touching distance of eachother.
•Commander Shoryuken

I have 2:

1- EOCH FLYUAE CL-X E1-2216

That first picture is from the moon A 2 A (here shown with the orange triangle)

As you can see, this is system is in a planetary nebula, around 20k lys from Sol. I won't say any specific coordinates because honestly, anywhere you go in this system it's gonna make a great wallpaper.

2- BOEKH CL-X E1-316

Yup, that's a binary star system between a binary star system and a single star, and that's a binary system between a gas giant and a landable planet, both ringed, with a ringed moon! This is what it looks like from the landable planet of the binary system:

I can't give exact coordinates because it'll depend of the position of each body at a given time, but it's beautiful nonetheless.

My cmdr name is Sali Vader

Absolutely need to make sure Betelgeuse is added. Its is the only system so far I've actually felt like a star was big. Its ominous and from the surface of the moon its spectacular.

Also HIP21353 is awesome. It has many large ringed landable planets. Including a binary ringed landable moon system.

Earth-like World with a gorgeous view of a nearby planetary nebula. And as a bonus, there's another ELW *inside* the nebula! A little over 18,000 LYs from Sol.

• Location name (this should include system name, body name and lat/long if the location is on the surface).

Treat your passengers to a myriad of celestial objects, approximately 18,500 LYs from Sol.

From this exact location on an icy moon, your passengers can see:

  • the planet it orbits
  • the trinary star system that the planet orbits
  • the M1 super-giant that the trinary star sub-system co-orbits
  • a bright planetary nebula that's only 10 LYs away
  • a *second* planetary nebula that's about 100 LYs away.

• Location name (this should include system name, body name and lat/long if the location is on the surface).

Location name: VIGS GK-A D0, sun A, planet 10

About 13,8k light years from the bubble, edgewards

AmmoniaMetal01.png

This poisonous jewel looks almost like it could be a nice place. The atmosphere, the atmospheric pressure and the rather high temperature of over 400 Kelvin make it not so nice, though. It's still worth a visit, since it's still gifted with impressive-looking rings.

See?

This potential tourist-spot was brought to you by:

Commander: Lothal Vanderheim

So the suggestion was made in jest by TinyPwny, before it was actually discovered. But for realsies: Jaques Station.

Location: Worlidge Hub, Skaoismont 2 A, Skaoismont

CMDR name: Robert Todd

Why I like it: Skaoismont 2 A is a jagged yet unremarkable little moon… save for the fact that its lone settlement is situated halfway up a 10km-high mountain. Currently off-limits to civilian ships, Worlidge Hub could potentially serve as an excellent base for intrepid SRV drivers. As it stands, it's an intriguing location offering dizzying, slightly surreal views of Skaoismont 2 and the Orion Nebula/Barnard's Loop as you approach it from below.

More pics/a brief account of my dumb antics here.
