You, responding to my doubts about bringing rebuy into the suicidewinder-equation as a valid improvement...

It certainly won't end in a few weeks because this is just the first implementation of the C&P system. There will be plenty of discussions as we move into 3304 and the improvements to core gameplay.

I am star struck. You should apply for - at least - national politics. Seriously, this might have killed that spark of doubt in 99% of all readers. Not an insult, I am honestly muted by that masterful example of rhetorics. *bow*

You do know how unworked regions work sometimes?

So say you want to use a proxy to conquer a system. That faction had expanded and retreated in the cluster over the last years X times... and now their priorities are all over the place.

How do you know which one is the next expansion? Number 2? Oh no!

If FD adds this grade of randomness, they need to add a Galnet window for stations telling you the proposed next expansion from the system.

That assumes the failure check won't have a cooldown to account for changes in other faction within the target system. Everything else has a cooldown, it seems reasonable to assume it would here too. Otherwise it seems obvious every faction would eventually get stuck. I'm sure Fdev thought of that too, since it occurred to me so easily.

If it has a cooldown (let's say the last 3 retreats) it still gives a slight randomness. If it is just the last retreat I don't mind. That is one system. But FD is really bad at communicating changes and effects. I have to go by what they wrote... they didn't mention cooldowns.

They didn't mention randomness either.

Time

First, I believe this is the best space simulator adventure I've encountered even without the patches, updates, and exciting new mysteries. I've struggled to figure out when I encountered humans players and would like to view the system time related to when they were encountered placed in the view. Is there a place that has the "system time" relative to encountered time that I've overlooked? [woah]

That was a major expansion with planetary landings, so I would expect that to be long. 9 hours is long for an update.

It Could be worse

Very good. :] It always amuses me when folks ingame complain about "not getting the broken stuff fixed".
I think they need to sit here and READ this post. That's a WHOLE LOT of Fixes. :]

Also, because I think it would be funny, when you're going to bring down ED for updates, should post something like:

The Galaxy will now be shutting down for maintenance. We'll be back soon.

If you mean the time in the player history, its the same as your PC clock. For some reason the chat/history window uses your real time, and the clock in the info panel on right is game time/galactic standard time/UTC.

Hi

Wait a minute. Xbox one have 25 new achievements and ps4 none?????? ok very disapointing. Cant level up rank because of dead cqc no new trophies. NO MORE ELITE FOR ME.

All times in the game are UTC (otherwise known as Greenwich Mean Time) no matter who or where you are, standardised time.

There's a clock on the far top, right hand side of your HUD (though it is possible to toggle that on .. or off by accident maybe .. check that in your right panel, functions tab, if I recall correctly).

and no word about about material- and data storage.[wacko][wacko][down]

A good way to clear materials from store - if you feel you've not enough space to hoard - is to engineer some modules? (store inside engineered modules, to extend material storage effectively).
