I think I understand how to adjust the star fields thanks to your excellent tutelage. my main battle is with crosstalk and finding a balance with depth and convergence that reduces that while still provide the 3d environment I enjoy. Unfortunately it seems the depth setting makes the most impact on the crosstalk, depths over 30% it becomes distracting to me, no matter the convergence setting. Right now I am using the frame of the windshield as a depth reference and trying to match it in perspective (somewhat) to the exterior view of the ship and how far it seems the pilot is to the HUD. There is quite a bit of depth there (flying a Cobra at the moment.) Thanks for answering the question on the planets, I forgot about the / command. I will try that tonight. It might be that my monitor has a large degree of ghosting and I need to try to get over it and look beyond it. (curious what kind of monitor you have) It would also be nice if nvidia had a reference on the GUI for the convergence like they do the depth. All in all I am quite pleased that it is even possible and thankful for people like you and HELIX who singlehandeley have kept this alive despite nvidia's lame support. Unfortunately that is the MO - they seem to always chase the next iteration for a sale rather than support their innovations. I own a Shield portable and they basically created a tech demo and then abandoned it in a year. (It is cool to stream your PC to a portable device and great for emulation gaming.)
