As I would love to see such DLC Packs and would even pay for each of them, but with that many DLC packs like you have listed we all will be poor. 😂

I don't prefer to give money constantly. :D
instead, as in the zoo tycoon 2, there should be bigger add-on packages(Marine Mania,African Adventure,Endangered Animals like).
my opinion is that way. and there must be at least 10 animals in an add-on package. certainly don't want small plugins. because it doesn't cause me any excitement...
Instead of 100 DLC packages containing 3 animals, I recommend 5 big DLC packages with 20 animals. :)

I would too, but expansions aren't really the current model of DLC. It tends to be smaller packs, as they're both easier to make and can be charged at prices where they can garner more profit than expansions.

I'm honestly hoping that we get a bit more than three new animals per continent or biome, but this is better than nothing -- and would definitely expand the game for me! I would purchase every single one of these without a second thought.

I'm excited to see how they organize the DLC releases (e.g., by continent, by biome, by animal type).

I've made some alterations to make the packs more interesting:

I'd change wild boar for fallow deer. Unlike wild boar, that aren't generally kept in zoos or breeding programs -and are honestly not that interesting or special to keep in zoos- , fallow deer are very common animals to see kept in parks, zoos, and petting zoos.

I'm cautious about adding a fourth deer, since my other packs already have caribou, moose, and red deer. However, I think crested porcupines would be a more interesting addition (plus, more rodent representation would be nice).

There better be much more than just 3 animals per pack. I expect fully 5+ animals per full DLC + new scenery, buildings, habitats, and etc.
That would depend on the pricing for me. If it's 10 euro for a DLC, yes I do expect a good set of animals and new scenery and buildings.
But if it's something like 2 euro for a 3-animal pack, I'm not opposed to that. But I don't think they'll release small packs, I think they'll do big DLCs like 'Marine animals', 'Birds and aviaries', 'Extinct mammals', stuff like that. If they'll release biome or continent related packs, I think they'll either go big and go for 10 euro DLCs that include a host of animals and themed buildings, or go small and go for 3-5 euro DLCs that include only animals of that specific biome or continent.

I'd also like to see more post-launch content. I'm just keeping these packs to a minimum.

And plus, there's only so many animals that can actually work with the game mechanics. Though there could definitely be exhibit animal DLC packs.

There isn't one. Steam is simply a platform which hosts games. It's entirely up to the developers how many DLC's they release.

That's what I had always assumed, but that's counter to what the person above said... Hah. I'm just going to assume you're right and go along with my night. :)

If anything Steam would encourage DLC's. Don't they get a cut of every sale or something? The more games and add-ons released via Steam, the more money they make. From a business perspective, there would be no logical sense in purposely limiting what developers can do.

I think they should make the deluxe pack like a season pass so people can access to some limited animals. Like each major update with new animals, they should leave some exclusively to purchase.

Given that a DLC model being used has been revealed, I've updated my packs according (this time with pictures!):

I adapted the biome packs to be a tad different from the continent packs, while also providing what I believe to have an equivalent price value.
